Turkey: Building Mosques, Erasing Christianity

- While Turkey’s latest mosque is being inaugurated in Germany, the greatest Christian Orthodox theological school has remained closed for almost 50 years by the order of the Turkish government. Moreover, less than a kilometer away from the shuttered Christian seminary, a major new center of Islamic studies spanning a total area of 200 acres is scheduled to be built.
- The Greeks of Turkey — the remnants of the once great Byzantine Empire — are a severely persecuted and even almost completely exterminated people. They have been exposed, among other crimes against humanity, to a genocide, pogroms and forced deportations at the hands of multiple Turkish governments. As a result, there are only around 1,300 Greeks left in Istanbul. But in spite of its tiny size, the dying Greek community still suffers from discrimination and violations of its rights.
- The Turkish government, which keeps the country’s greatest Christian theological school closed, is spending a large portion of its annual budget on the worldwide construction of mosques.
![]() |
The Turkish government spends hundreds of millions of dollars building mosques as part of a long-term effort to promote Islam around the world. Many Muslims hope that new mosques throughout Europe will advance and facilitate their wish to spread Islam to non-Islamic countries and persuade the Christian “infidels” to abandon their faith in favor of Islam.
On September 29, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan inaugurated Turkey’s latest European mosque, “The Cologne Central Mosque,” located in the Cologne, Germany.
The Turkish government-funded Anadolu Agency reported on September 25:
The Cologne Central Mosque, built by Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB) after eight years of construction work, has a capacity of 1,200 people.
“It will be the most important and one of the largest mosques in Europe and Germany. It has a symbolic meaning for our Muslim brothers living here,” Nevzat Yasar Asikoglu, chairman of the DITIB, told reporters. “Our mosque also symbolizes peace, brotherhood as well as the culture of co-existence,” he said.
The 17,000 square-meter mosque complex also has a shopping center, an exhibition and a seminar hall, a 600-people capacity conference hall, a library, working offices and a car park on the ground floor.
Germany, a country of over 81 million people, has the second-largest Muslim population in Western Europe after France. Among the country’s nearly 4.7 million Muslims, three million are of Turkish origin.
Meanwhile, as a huge new mosque is being inaugurated in Germany, the greatest Christian Orthodox theological school, located on the island of Halki (Heybeliada) in the Sea of Marmara, has remained closed for almost 50 years by the order of the Turkish government. Moreover, less than a kilometer away from the shuttered Christian seminary, a new center of Islamic studies spanning a total area of 200 acres is scheduled to be built.
DITIB, the group that built the new Cologne mosque, runs more than 900 mosques across Germany. These mosques are linked to the Turkish government’s Directorate of Religious Affairs, or Diyanet, which provides imams to DITIB mosques.
The German media recently reported that the country’s intelligence service is pondering putting DITIB under surveillance, following its involvement in several scandals, such as its imams spying for Turkish diplomatic posts, its refusal to attend an “anti-terrorism march” in Cologne, its calls on worshippers to pray for a Turkish military victory against Kurds in northern Syria, and holding a military re-enactment involving Turkish flags and fake guns handed to child “martyrs.”
Opposition to DITIB’s activities in Germany is also growing. “Those who spread nationalism, hatred of Christians, Jews or people of no religious affiliation and spy here at the behest of the Turkish government cannot be a partner in the fight against religious extremism in Germany,” a member of the parliament, Christoph de Vries, said.
Meanwhile, the Turkish government is continuing to annihilate the Christian heritage in Turkey. For instance, the Orthodox Theological Seminary has become a symbol of the systematic discrimination that Christians have been exposed to in Turkey.
The only school for training the leadership of Orthodox Christianity, the Halki seminary was closed by the Turkish government in 1971. Since then, the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople has been unable to train clergy and potential successors for the position of Patriarch.
According to the Order of Saint Andrew Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate:
“Since its closure, the Ecumenical Patriarchate has had to send the young men from its community desiring to enter the priesthood to one of the theological schools in Greece. In many instances, they do not return given the onerous restrictions in getting work permits and the general climate of intimidation. Despite promises by the Turkish government to re-open our theological school, there has been no progress. Left unresolved, the administrative functioning and future of the Ecumenical Patriarchate is imperiled.”
In 2016, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America listed other violations against the Orthodox Church by Turkey:
The Turkish government imposes restrictions on the election of the Ecumenical Patriarch and Hierarchs who vote for him by requiring that they must be Turkish citizens. In fact, the government arbitrarily can veto any candidate for the position of Ecumenical Patriarch.
With the dwindling population of Hierarchs and Orthodox Christians in Turkey, we may not be able to elect an Ecumenical Patriarch in the not too distant future.
…
Turkish authorities do not allow the use of the term or title of “Ecumenical” for any religious activity whatsoever despite the fact that it has been used since the 6th century A.D. and recognized throughout the world. Turkey regards the Patriarchate as an institution whose leader is seen as the spiritual head of Orthodox Christians in Turkey alone rather than the leader of 300 million Orthodox Christians worldwide.
…
The Ecumenical Patriarchate has no legal identity or bona fide legal personality in Turkey.
The lack of a legal identity is a major source of problems for the Ecumenical Patriarchate including non-recognition of its ownership rights and the non-issuance of residence and work permits for “foreign” (meaning non-Turkish) priests who are essential to the continuity and functioning of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. The Turkish authorities do not allow the Ecumenical Patriarchate to own any property — not even its churches. The Patriarchal house itself is not recognized as the Patriarchate’s property and even the Girls and Boys Orphanage Foundation on the Island of Buyukada (Prinkipos) for which the Patriarchate has held a deed since 1902 is not legally recognized by the Turkish government. The inability to secure work permits by “foreigners” who work at the Ecumenical Patriarchate results in these individuals having to leave the country every three months to renew tourist visas which disrupts the operation and productivity of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and discourages staffing from abroad.
…
Through various methods, the Turkish authorities have confiscated thousands of properties from the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Greek Orthodox community over the years, including our monasteries, Church buildings, an orphanage, private homes, apartment buildings, schools and land.
To add insult to injury, instead of reopening the school, Turkish authorities have recently announced a plan to erect a new massive Islamic educational center in the middle of the Halki island.
Halki is one of the few places in Turkey that still has a Greek community. It seems no coincidence that the Turkish government picked Halki to build a major Islamic center. This appears yet another Turkish government policy of Islamization that will further the eradication of the Greek cultural heritage and Orthodox Christianity in the region.
The Greeks of Turkey — the remnants of the once great Byzantine Empire — are a severely persecuted and even almost completely exterminated people.
The Turkish government, which keeps the country’s greatest Christian theological school closed, is spending a large portion of its annual budget on the worldwide construction of mosques.
Diyanet is the government agency that is planning to build the Islamic center next to Halki Orthodox Seminary. Diyanet’s total annual budget last year amounted to 8.1 billion liras ($1.38 billion), surpassing the budgets of 12 ministries, including the ministry of health and the ministry of the interior, according to the Turkish press.
The activities of Diyanet include building of mosques across the world. According to its official website, Diyanet has completed the construction of mosques in places such as the United States, Russia, Belarus, Germany, Somalia, Haiti, Kazakhstan, and Gaza. New mosques are currently being built in Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Turkish-occupied northern Cyprus, Djibouti, Sweden, and England.
Diyanet is also planning to build mosques in Kosovo, the Karachay-Cherkessia region of Russia, Chad, Cote D’Ivoire, Venezuela, Mauritania, Niger, and on the campus of Georgetown University in the United States. A “Turkish cultural center” is also being built in Tokyo, Japan.
According to the Diyanet Foundation, Diyanet has also built mosques in Lebanon, Mali, Philippines, and Crimea.
The Turkish government is promoting Islamization worldwide through its activities, which include constructing mosques, yet Turkey’s deeply rooted Christianity is a dying religion. Turkey, which today contains Asia Minor or Anatolia within its borders, has more Biblical sites in it than any other region in the Middle East except Israel. Many Christian Apostles and Saints, such as Paul of Tarsus, Peter, John, Timothy, Nicholas of Myra, and Polycarp of Smyrna, among others, either ministered or lived in Turkey.
The Islamization of the region was started by the Turkic tribes from Central Asia, which invaded the Greek Byzantine Empire in the eleventh century. Today, only 0.1 percent of Turkey’s population of nearly 80 million is Christian — a result of centuries-long persecution against Christians.
The modern Turkish republic, founded in 1923, has nearly completed the annihilation of the remaining Greek Christians in the country through various crimes and pressures.
Today’s Turkish government, apparently acting in line with its own determined jihadist ideology, is building mosques in Europe and beyond, and using many of them for its own Islamic fundamentalist agenda and outreach. A weak, misguided and misled Europe seems to be eagerly submitting to this ideology.
History Repeats Itself..
Kurdish Afrin Falls to Turkey
Kurdish Afrin Falls to Turkey
Turkish Government Official: “Europe Will be Muslim”
- Turkey Islamized northern Cyprus through a military invasion in 1974. To Islamize the much more powerful European continent, however, Turkey has been promoting demographic, rather than military, jihad.
- “The places where you work and live are your homelands and new countries now… Drive the best cars. Live in the most beautiful houses. Make five children — not just three. For you are the future of Europe.” — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, 2017.
Yesterday, while many Europeans are still pilloried for viewing mass migration from Muslim-majority countries as a threat to Western culture — and are still accused of “xenophobia,” “Islamophobia” and “fear-mongering” — the city of Afrin, in the Kurdish area of Syria, fell to Turkey.
At the same time, a prominent Turkish government official has been openly and proudly declaring that the demography of Europe is changing in favor of Muslims.
MP Alparslan Kavaklıoğlu, a member of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the head of the parliament’s Security and Intelligence Commission, recently stated:
“The fortune and wealth of the world is moving from the West to the East. Europe is going through a time that is out of the ordinary. Its population is declining and aging. It has a very old population. So, people coming from outside get the jobs there. But Europe has this problem. All of the newcomers are Muslim. From Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey. Those who come from these places are Muslim. It is now at such a level that the most popular name in Brussels, Belgium is Mohammed. The second most popular name is Melih [Malih] and the third one is Ayşe [Aisha].”
According to Kavaklıoğlu, if this trend continues,
“the Muslim population will outnumber the Christian population in Europe. This… has increased the nationalistic, xenophobic and anti-Islam rhetoric there. Hence, marginal, small parties have started to get large numbers of votes… But there is no remedy for it. Europe will be Muslim. We will be effective there, Allah willing. I am sure of that.”
Kavaklıoğlu is not the first Turkish official to stress the importance of population growth. In 2009, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was prime minister at the time, called on the public to have at least three children per family. The greater our numbers, he said, “the stronger we will be.” Since then, Erdoğan has been trying to encourage Turkish nationals to multiply. In 2013, he reiterated his plea:
“We need a young and dynamic population… Right now, the West is in trouble. But we do not want to put Turkey in the same trouble. I am calling on my country through mothers: Do not take this sensitivity of ours lightly. We need to make this widespread, in waves. We need to make this happen. The [value] of this cannot be measured with money or any other physical wealth.”
In 2017, Erdoğan called on Turks residing in Europe to have even more children:
“The places where you work and live are your homelands and new countries now. Lay a tight claim to those places. Open more businesses and enroll your children in better schools. Live with your families in better neighborhoods. Drive the best cars. Live in the most beautiful houses. Make five children — not just three. For you are the future of Europe.”
![]() |
Erdoğan is now also saying the same thing to Turks in Cyprus. During a recent meeting with the prime minister and deputy prime minister of the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” (recognized only by Turkey), Erdoğan reportedly said, “Economic growth happens in parallel with population growth. The population of Greek Cypriots is more than one million. Just make your own population grow.”
Turkey already largely Islamized and Turkified northern Cyprus through a military invasion in 1974. The Turkish military terrorized the indigenous Greek Cypriots, causing them to flee to the south. The Turkish government then imported thousands of illegal settlers from Turkey to northern Cyprus, to change the demographic structure of the illegally occupied territories. To Islamize the much more powerful European continent, however, Turkey has been promoting demographic, rather than military, jihad. This attempt by Ankara to guarantee that Muslims outnumber Christians globally has been accompanied by the erection of mosques – “from Europe to Africa, from the Balkans to the Central Asia” — by Turkey’s government-funded Diyanet (Religious Affairs General Directorate).
Whose assessments, then, are liberal Europeans to believe regarding unfettered immigration? Those who consider the mass influx from Muslim countries a threat to liberty and security, or the honest planners and perpetrators of demographic replacement and Islamization?
One only needs to look at Afrin, Cyprus and the appalling human rights record of Muslim-majority societies.

Clinton and Trump: Where Do They Stand on Islamism?
Clinton and Trump: Where Do They Stand on Islamism?
Thu, May 5, 2016
Donald Trump is the all-but-declared Republican presidential nominee and Hillary Clinton on the cusp of winning the Democratic nomination. It is time for voters to begin weighing the national security consequences of each candidate’s potential administration.
You can read our full profiles of the candidates’ positions related to Islamist extremism by clicking here for Donald Trump and here for Hillary Clinton. Below is a summary of six policy areas where they differ:
Defining the Threat
Trump defines the enemy as “radical Islam.” Clinton defines it variably as “jihadism,” “radical Jihadism” “Islamists who are jihadists.”
Defeating the Ideology
Trump said in his foreign policy speech that “containing the spread of radical Islam must be a major foreign policy goal of the United States.” His policy proposals include a vague commitment to use the U.S. military more aggressively, deterring terrorists by killing their families, closing down the most radical mosques and banning Muslim immigration into the U.S. until the homeland is secure and an effective vetting process is established.
Trump is adamantly opposed to democracy-promotion and overthrowing regimes; instead, he favors alliances with authoritarian rulers who cooperate on counter-terrorism. He says, “our goal must be to defeat terrorists and promote stability, not radical change.”
He criticizes Clinton for supporting the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in Iraq, Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, Hosni Mubarak in Egypt and Bashar Assad in Syria. However, a reputable senior foreign policy adviser to Trump, Dr. Walid Phares, is an expert on combating the Islamist ideology and believes in promoting human rights and civil society.
Clinton’s national security platform calls for “defeating ISIS and global terrorism and the ideologies that drive it.” Her strategy emphasizes civil society and a foreign policy that promotes freedom, women’s rights, free markets, democracy and human rights, all if which she believes are necessary in order to “empower moderates and marginalize extremists.”
Clinton says the U.S. needs an “overarching strategy” to defeat the ideology like the U.S. used to win the Cold War. Clinton wants the State Department to better “tell our story” overseas by confronting anti-American propaganda via public engagement.
Clinton’s speech on foreign policy and ISIS also includes confronting state sponsors of extremism like Qatar and Saudi Arabia and identifying “the specific neighborhoods and villages, the prisons and schools, where recruitment happens in clusters, like the neighborhood in Brussels where the Paris attacks were planned.”
ISIS, Iraq and Syria
Trump says he will appoint effective generals who will quickly crush the Islamic State. He believes the U.S. has “no choice” but to send 20-30,000 troops to fight the Islamic State. He would also attack the families of Islamic State members, bomb oil sites held by the Islamic State and then seize them for U.S. companies to rebuild and own.
He would not support Syrian rebels against the Iran-backed Assad regime; Trump supported Russia’s military intervention in Syria to save the dictatorship. Trump believes he can be a partner with Russian President Putin. He says he would establish safe-zones in Syria to stop the flow of refugees, but neighboring Arab countries like Saudi Arabia would have to pay for it.
Clinton’s speech on ISIS emphasized her opposition to a large ground campaign by U.S. forces, but she does support President Obama’s deployment of about 5,000 troops to Iraq with a limited role. She disagreed with President Obama when she urged U.S. support for Syrian rebels at the beginning of the civil war in order to prevent Islamist extremists from gaining ground.
Clinton also supported using the U.S. Air Force to implement a no-fly zone in Syria and to create safe zones for refugees. Clinton remains committed to ending the civil war in Syria by forcing Assad to resign from power as part of a political transition.
In Iraq, she favors direct U.S. military assistance to Sunni tribes and Kurdish forces fighting ISIS and expanding the U.S. forces’ role to include embedding personnel in local Iraqi units and assisting with airstrikes.
Iran
Trump would terminate the nuclear deal with Iran immediately and pledged to “dismantle” Iran’s global terrorism network in his speech about Israel and the Middle East. He supports placing severe sanctions on Iran to pressure them into a deal that dismantles their nuclear program and ends their support for terrorism.
Clinton supports the nuclear deal with reservations. She has released a 5-point plan to respond to the deal’s negative consequences, Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism and human rights abuses of the Iranian regime. She supports expanding sanctions on Iran for these actions.
Neither candidate has explicitly endorsed overthrowing the Iranian regime, but Clinton took a step in that direction in 2010 when she said she hopes there will be “some effort inside Iran, by responsible civil and religious leaders, to take hold of the apparatus of the state.” She regrets that she and the Obama Administration did not more forcefully support the 2009 Green Revolution and promises “that won’t happen again.”
Neither candidate has endorsed the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act and concerns have been raised about both candidates’ advisers.
One of Clinton’s closest aides, Huma Abedin, was the assistant-editor of an Islamist journal with her family members, some of whom have Muslim Brotherhood links. She has not directly said anything extremist and is married to a pro-Israel Jew. Critics point out that although she has a security clearance, her familial ties may influence her advice to Clinton.
In her book, Clinton seems to understand that the Brotherhood is hostile to the U.S., deceptive and closely linked to Hamas. However, she seems to accept Islamist political parties like the Brotherhood as potential democratic partners. Her State Dept. operation in Egypt gave election training to Brotherhood members and a Clinton Foundation member belonged to the Brotherhood.
One of Trump’s top campaign aides, Paul Manafort, was a lobbyist for Saudi Arabia in the 1980s and a lobbyist for a Pakistani ISI intelligence front in the U.S. that was also closely linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Trump has never said anything kind about the Muslim Brotherhood and wanted the U.S. to help keep Egyptian President Mubarak in power.

UK Foreign Office Hosts Meeting Including Tariq Ramadan
UK Foreign Office Hosts Meeting Including Tariq Ramadan
By
The UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office announced that last week it hosted the first meeting of a new Advisory Group on Freedom of Religion or Belief that includes Global Muslim Brotherhood leader Tariq Ramadan. According to the announcement:
March 25, 2014 The Foreign & Commonwealth Office today hosted the first meeting of a new Advisory Group on Freedom of Religion or Belief, chaired by Senior Minister of State, Baroness Warsi. The new group, which is a sub-group of the Foreign Secretary’s Human Rights Advisory Group, is made up of experts in the field and is intended to advise FCO Ministers and staff on how to build on the active approach they already take to promoting and protecting the right to freedom of religion or belief worldwide.
Commenting on the first meeting of the new group, Baroness Warsi said:
Freedom of religion or belief is a personal priority for me. Across the world, people are being singled out and hounded out simply for the faith they follow or the beliefs they hold. The persecution of people because of their faith or belief has, I believe, become a global crisis. I want to make sure we have the best advice available. This is why we have set up this new Advisory Group, made up of real experts in the field, and of those who are working every day in practical ways to defend the right to freedom of religion or belief. I look forward to working with them as we seek to move towards a world where no-one is persecuted for what they believe.
I am pleased to announce the following members of the Foreign and Commonwealth Advisory Group on freedom of religion:
Read the names following.
The GMBDW reported earlier today that UK Prime Minister David Cameron has ordered an inquiry into the activities of theMuslim Brotherhood in the United Kingdom.
Tariq Ramadan is best described as an independent power center within the Global Muslim Brotherhood who has sufficient stature as the son of Said Ramadan and the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood to challenge positions taken by important Brotherhood leaders. His statements and writings have been extensively analyzed and he has been accused by critics of promoting anti-Semitism and fundamentalism, albeit by subtle means. On the other hand, his supporters promote him as as example of an Islamic reformer who is in the forefront of developing a “Euro Islam.” Ramadan is currently Professor of Contemporary Islamic Studies at the Oxford University (Oriental Institute, St Antony’s College) and also teaches at the Oxford Faculty of Theology. He is Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, (Qatar) and the University of Malaysia Perlis; Senior Research Fellow at Doshisha University (Kyoto, Japan) and Director of the Research Centre of Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) (Doha, Qatar). In 2009, Ramadan was dismissed from his positions as an adviser on integration for the city of Rotterdam and from a Dutch University over his role as a talk show host on Iranian TV. A ban on Ramadan traveling to the US was lifted in January 2010 and since then he has appeared a number of times in the US to speak at events organized by various US Muslim Brotherhood organizations. The Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CLIE), headed by Ramadan, was launched in January 2012 and represented a significant coming together of Global Muslim Brotherhood leaders Tariq Ramadan and Youssef Qaradawi. A post from May 2013 reported that that two French ministers refused to attend a conference on the future of the EU due to the scheduled attendance of Tariq Ramadan

JOHN McCain Have No Clue About Norway :
At least one member of Parliament, André Oktay Dahl of the Conservative Party, calls the situation “critical” and is brave enough to acknowledge that many of the perpetrators come from cultures “with a reprehensible attitude toward women.”
The scandalous fact is that Norway, for all its wealth, has chosen not to invest overmuch in law and order. “Norway wastes millions of kroner every year on ‘development aid’ that ends up largely in the pockets of corrupt African dictators; it pours millions more into the pockets of non-Western immigrants who have become masters at exploiting the welfare system; the Norwegian government even funds anarchists. It’s not entirely misguided for a Norwegian citizen to feel that his tax money is going less to fight the crime that threatens his home, his self, and his business than to support criminals.”
But beefing up the police force wouldn’t even begin to address the problem that’s at the root of the country’s growing rape crisis: the presence in Norway, and especially in Oslo, of ever-growing numbers of people who have nothing but contempt for Western culture, who have absolutely no concept of respect for members of religions other than their own, and who have been brought up on the idea that women who dare to walk the street alone and without veils covering their faces deserve to be violated.
Not so very many years ago, Oslo was virtually a rape-free city, inhabited by people who had been brought up on civilized notions of mutual respect and tolerance. No longer. Over the years, the incidence of rape has risen steadily. A wildly disproportionate number of the perpetrators are “rejected asylum seekers” — which may sound puzzling unless you are aware of the perverse state of affairs whereby even persons officially rejected for asylum in Norway are still allowed to stay. And the increasing temerity of the rapists — who know very well that they will probably not be caught, and, if caught, will not be severely punished — is reflected in the fact that the most recent rape (in which two men assaulted a 21-year-old woman) took place virtually in the backyard of the Royal Palace.
Oslo is, of course, not alone in having undergone this cultural sea change: many major cities in Western Europe have experienced similar transformations. Yet it now appears that the incidence of rapes in Oslo has now eclipsed that in the other two Scandinavian capitals, Stockholm and Copenhagen. This is quite an achievement, given that Oslo has traditionally been the smallest and sleepiest of these three cities — the least cosmopolitan, the one that feels more like a safe small town than a European capital.
A glimpse of the official mentality that makes this steady rise in rape statistics possible was provided in an article that appeared in the Norwegian daily Dagbladet on October 25. It appears that in the summer of last year, the same paper ran a story about Abdi, a Somali immigrant, then 24 years old, who since coming to Norway as an asylum seeker had committed 14 robberies, been incarcerated, become a narcotic, and lived on welfare.
On June 3, 2010, Dagbladet reported, an Oslo court had ruled that Abdi, who is not a Norwegian citizen, should be returned to Somalia. Now, however, that ruling has been overturned by an appeals court. Abdi’s lawyer was jubilant, saying that this decision “is important for many Somalis in this country.” (Of all immigrant groups in Norway, Somalis are among those with the lowest employment and highest crime rates.) The lawyer chided Norway for having shown “an ugly face in this case” by planning to return her client to Somalia, but she expressed hope that given the new decision Norway would “change its practice” — presumably meaning that no amount of unsavory activity would make it possible to kick an immigrant out.
The appeals court’s basis for its decision to let Abdi stay in Norway was that it might be dangerous for him to live in Somalia. Whether letting him stay in Norway might make life dangerous for Norwegians didn’t seem to enter into the court’s calculus.
It’s not only the courts, to be sure, that are at fault in this sort of situation. In such cases, the media almost invariably step in and bombard the public with shameless propaganda designed to stir up sympathy for the miscreant in question. So it was with the Dagbladet article the other day, which sought to present Abdi as repentant, reformed, and reflective — indeed, almost sagacious and saintly. He was represented as having claimed that he has turned over a new leaf and that he now wants to help wayward immigrant kids to straighten out. He also supposedly said that he wants to study to be a sociologist (which, the more one thinks about it, sounds potentially even more dangerous than if he decided to persevere in his life of crime).
To Those of You in the USA
To Those of You in the USA

Senators Wyden and Merkley and Representative Blumenauer,
IMMEDIATELY STOP SENDING ALL FORMS OF AID TO ANTI-GOVERNMENT FIGHTERS IN SYRIA, INCLUDING THE FSA!
As I write this letter to you, my family, in our village in Syria, is preparing for combat between the Syrian Army and the terrorists, who have taken up residence nearby and have been attacking and harassing our people for over two years now. Two weeks ago, these “rebels,” as the US administration calls them, ran a car off the road near our village, shot one of the boys, and beheaded the other because he was wearing a cross.
As a Syrian(American) with family in the middle of the combat, let me be perfectly clear. We DO NOT appreciate the US government’s policies against Syria. The United States is NOT helping the Syrian people. You are hurting us, both the people living in Syria, under constant threat of violence and death, and also those living all around the world, who lay sleepless with worry over the safety of their loved ones. We do not fear the Syrian Army, but rather the animals that you are currently aiding with training, supplies and weapons.
When the Syrian army came to the village this week, the people I spoke with, both here and in the village, had only one thing to say, “Thank God!” We are relieved that the army is in the village, we pray for the victory of the Syrian Army over the radical Islamists and FSA traitors in our country. We pray that President Bashar Al Assad and the Syrian Army win the war so the Syrian people can begin to rebuild the country. It is up to the Syrian people to decide who their president is, it is not up to the United States government, or any other government in this world.
As an American, I am outraged that the US government continues to follow the same immoral policies as the previous administration. I am thoroughly fed up with our tax dollars being spent to finance regime change, so we can align other governments to our economic and geopolitical agenda. The use of propaganda to once again destroy a sovereign nation on the flimsiest of pretexts is completely unacceptable. This adminstration’s continuing support of the same radical, jihadists that were responsible for the largest terrorist attack on U.S. soil is unjustifiable in any circumstance, but even more so in this instance, when it is so clearly against the will of the Syrian people themselves, and against any hope of peace and safety in Syria.
And so, as a Syrian-American, and as your constituent, I implore you to take whatever steps necessary to stop all aid to any and all anti-government fighters against the Syrian government and the Syrian army. I also ask that the US government demand that its allies, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Great Britain and Turkey, immediately STOP supporting the same anti-government groups. If this is done, then YES, President Al Assad and the Syrian Army will quickly win this war. And that is precisely the point. This is neither a civil war, nor a popular uprising. This is an attempt by foreign governments to hijack the Syrian peoples’ call for reforms to create regime change and divide and destroy the country.
If you have any questions about the situation in Syria, or about anything I have written, I urge you to contact me. I am in direct contact with my nephews, D.Y., S.Y. and M.Y. as well as a family friend, M.H., who are at this very moment, in our village. I am also in direct contact with my brother, Y.Y. and sister, J.Y. who have left the village with their children and grandchildren for their safety, (having fled from the terrorists, NOT the Syrian army) as well as my niece, S.H. who lives in Damascus. I would appreciate the opportunity to educate you further about what is really happening in Syria. Please do what you can to stop the killing. The US government is absolutely wrong in this. I pray you take action to prevent any more needless deaths. I pray you take action before I lose anyone I love.
Sincerely,
Leila Piazza

Will Arabs Have the Courage to Label Muslim Brotherhood a Terrorist Group?
Will Arabs Have the Courage to Label Muslim Brotherhood a Terrorist Group?
by Khaled Abu Toameh January 2, 2014 at 5:00 am
Buoyed by the Egyptian move, Palestinian and Jordanian political analysts have urged their leaders to to seize the opportunity and crack down in Islamists in their countries.
The ball is now in the court of the Arab League, which is entitled to ask Arab Leaders to enforce the 1998 counter-terrorism treaty that would block funding and support for the Muslim Brotherhood. Jordan’s King Abdullah and PA President Mahmoud Abbas can use the treaty as an excuse to outlaw the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The Egyptians authorities have officially labeled the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group, triggering a debate as to whether other Arab countries should follow suit.
The decision was taken in light of Muslim Brotherhood’s alleged responsibility for a series of terror attacks against Egyptian civilians and soldiers.
The question being asked today in the Arab world is whether other countries will take similar measures against Muslim Brotherhood groups and branches.
Buoyed by the Egyptian move, Palestinian and Jordanian political analysts and activists have urged their leaders to seize the opportunity and crack down on the Islamists in their countries.
But for now it seems that most Arabs, especially the Jordanians and Palestinians, are reluctant to follow the Egyptians — the reason why this week the Egyptians urged the members of the Arab League to enforce a counter-terrorism treaty that would block funding and support for Muslim Brotherhood.
Badr Abdelatty, spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign ministry, said Arab League members that signed the 1998 treaty should enforce it against the Muslim Brotherhood, which has a presence in most Arab countries.
The Muslim Brotherhood has a large presence in Jordan; while Hamas, a branch of the organization, controls the entire Gaza Strip and enjoys popular support in the West Bank.
“In the eyes of Muslim Brotherhood, we are infidels and an enemy,” said Jordanian analyst Fares al Habashneh. “They believe that an Islamic Caliphate is inevitable and seek to destroy our country and national identity.”
Habashneh said that the Jordanian authorities should seize the opportunity and take measures against Muslim Brotherhood in the kingdom. “Their ideological and political option have failed,” he added. “It is time to reconsider the presence of the Brotherhood ideology and end their incitement and hatred.”
But the Jordanian authorities, which have yet to comment on the Egyptian move to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group, do not seem to have the courage to follow suit.
Jordan’s Minister for Political Development, Khaled Kalaldah, announced that the Muslim Brotherhood is a licensed organization in the kingdom. He denied that his government had plans to outlaw the group.
Even the leaders of Jordan’s Muslim Brotherhood say they are confident that King Abdullah II would not take such a drastic measure against their organization. “We have no fear that that the decision taken by the coup leaders in Egypt would affect us in Jordan,” said Zaki Bani Irsheid, a senior Muslim Brotherhood official. “It’s not in the interest of the regime in Jordan to support such a move because that would threaten stability [in Jordan].”
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas also appears to be reluctant, or afraid, to take a similar decision against his rivals in Hamas. Instead, Abbas is continuing to talk about his desire to achieve “national unity” with the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.
For now, Abbas is turning a blind eye to demands from some of his advisors and loyalists to declare Hamas a terrorist group. He and his Fatah loyalists have reacted to the Egyptian move by calling on Hamas to “disengage” from the Muslim Brotherhood – a call that has been rejected by the Islamist movement in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian political analyst Adel Abdel Rahman pointed out that the Egyptian authorities’ decision should also apply to Hamas, which he said is a “branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and its partner in terrorist attacks.”

The Palestinian leadership, he added, should issue Hamas with a one-month ultimatum to disengage from Muslim Brotherhood or face the repercussions. “Hamas should be asked to apologize to the Egyptian people and their leadership for all the terror attacks it participated in,” he said. “Hamas should also immediately dismantle its armed militia and relinquish control over the Gaza Strip.”
Muwafak Matar, another Palestinian analyst, said that Hamas now faces only one option: to disengage from the Muslim Brotherhood and return to the Palestinian people.
Hamas, he said, “represents only a small fraction of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. We rule out the possibility that Hamas would disengage from the Muslim Brotherhood. Instead, it may resort to military escalation with Israel to distract attention from the Egyptian decision.”
Prominent Palestinian editor Abdel Bari Atwan said he now expects the Egyptians to declare Hamas a terrorist group. “After declaring war on the Muslim Brotherhood and arresting its leaders and members, the next step is surely going to be accusing Hamas of terrorism,” he said. “The Egyptian authorities see Hamas as belonging ideologically to the Muslim Brotherhood and this is partially true. But the Egyptians will not be able to do the same thing to Muslim Brotherhood groups in Jordan, Iraq, Turkey and Tunisia because the Egyptian authorities cannot reach these groups and strangle them as they are doing with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.”
The reluctance of Arabs to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group means that the ball is now in the court of the Arab League, which is entitled to ask Arab leaders to enforce the 1998 counter-terrorism treaty. Jordan’s King Abdullah and PA President Mahmoud Abbas can use the treaty as an excuse to outlaw the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Barack HUSSEIN Obama – Islam’s TROJAN HORSE!!!
Barack HUSSEIN Obama – Islam’s TROJAN HORSE!!!
|
When you look at a number of Obama quotes, there are some things that should come as no surprise.
“We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.”
“Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.”
“These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings.”
“I made clear that America is not – and never will be – at war with Islam.”
“Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism – it is an important part of promoting peace.”
Need I continue?
Yes…I believe, to make the point crystal clear…I do.
“That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”
“Throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.”
“Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity and racial equality”
Are you starting to get the picture?
Maybe THESE quotes will help…
“Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation”
“We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.”
“If all it took was someone proclaiming I believe Jesus Christ and that he died for my sins, and that was all there was to it, people wouldn’t have to keep coming to church, would they?”
Perhaps these last 2, when compared to each other, are the most telling.
When Obama was asked to give HIS definition of sin, he responded: “Being out of alignment with MY values.”
And…
“The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer”
The stark difference between CLAIMING to be a Christian while REALLY being an ISLAMIST can clearly be seen in Obama’s decisions on the world stage.
Obama presides over the killing of Osama bin Laden or…DOES he?
The decision TO kill bin Laden was political and would become a “feather” in the political hat of the Islamist president but, according to his close friend, Obama couldn’t bear to watch it all play out so…After a photo op in the situation room…Obama spent the bulk of the bin Laden raid playing cards and, as reparations to Islam FOR the raid, he lets the Pakistani doctor who was the KEY to nailing down the al Qaeda leader’s residence…ROT IN JAIL TO THIS DAY.
Politically expedient for Obama and, at the same time, respecting his Islamic beliefs.
Mubarak…an ally…Who had kept the peace with the bane of Islam’s existence, Israel, is told to go by the Islamist occupier of the oval office and who does Obama back as the replacement?
The MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD that vowed to do away with the Israel/Egypt peace accord
As the Muslim Brotherhood cracked down by KILLING Coptic Christians at will…Obama’s quote, “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam,” provides the reason why he never held the Muslim Brotherhood to account.
In Benghazi…
After supplying al Qaeda with arms to overthrow Gaddafi, Obama turns more than a blind eye to al Qaeda’s (Ansar al Sharia’s) control of Benghazi…HE HIRES them to provide “SECURITY” for our American diplomats IN Benghazi after…DRAWING DOWN OUR OWN SECURITY there.
After the British and the Red Cross LEAVE Benghazi…Obama leaves OUR Consulate there IN THE HANDS OF AL QAEDA and, when the attacks of September 11th, 2012 began…OBAMA BEAT A HASTY RETREAT FROM THE SITUATION ROOM AFTER 20 MINUTES AND NEVER CHECKED IN FOR AN UPDATE!!!
Remember…He also left the situation room during the bin Laden raid.
Obama ARMED our al Qaeda enemies in Libya…Gave them ACCESS to our Consulate and…LEFT AMERICANS TO BE KILLED BY OUR AL QAEDA ENEMIES WITHOUT SENDING ASSISTANCE OR RESCUE TO THEM!!!
When it was over and Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were dead…Obama kept the FBI from entering Benghazi for 3 weeks and, all the while…
BLAMED THE ATTACKS ON A YOU TUBE VIDEO…CRITICAL OF ISLAM!!!
To this day, nobody has been brought to justice for Benghazi and those who survived, have been threatened, had their families threatened and their careers threatened should THEY come forward with the TRUTH and, one whistle-blower who DID step up…Greg Hicks…Has been DEMOTED while those initially deemed responsible in the State Department have had their desks shuffled but REMAIN AT THE SAME PAY GRADE and Susan Rice, the Sunday show lie propagandist…HAS BEEN PROMOTED!!!
There are more but, given these examples, what comes next should come as no surprise at all.
In hammering out this insipid “DEAL” with Iran and thus allowing Iran to continue on the path toward nuclear weapons at the peril of Israel…
Obama left one item completely OFF the table.
Saeed Abedini.
Saeed Abedini is an AMERICAN CITIZEN…A CHRISTIAN PASTOR…Who has been held in various Iranian jails since LATE SEPTEMBER…2012…JUST WEEKS AFTER OBAMA ALLOWED ISLAMISTS TO KILL AMERICANS IN BENGHAZI!!!
Saeed Abedini suffers from grave health problems and is currently being denied medication or treatment by his IRANIAN JAILERS who work at the whim of the ISLAMIST, IRANIAN REGIME!!!
Is it any wonder…ANY surprise at all, that the ISLAMIST, Obama, in hammering out a “DEAL” with the ISLAMIST REGIME OF IRAN…Would never once make a CHRISTIAN…AMERICAN CITIZEN…PASTOR a condition of said “DEAL???
Before ANY “deal,” good, bad or insipid, with Iran was signed…Saeed Abedini should have been put on a plane and brought home to America but that just doesn’t fit the ideology of the Islamist in the white house.
And why IS that?
Because…
While it is considered a CRIME to be Christian in Iran…It is equally distasteful for an ISLAMIST to raise a finger to SAVE a CHRISTIAN…FROM Iran.
Let those who demand the release of Saeed Abedini do so loudly but remember Obama’s words…
“The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer.”
And…
Bringing the American citizen and CHRISTIAN PASTOR…Saeed Abedini HOME…Would amount to Obama “Being out of alignment with my values.”
OUT OF ALIGNMENT WITH HIS ISLAMIST…”VALUES!!!”
The Benghazi 4, left to al Qaeda…Bowe Bergdahl, left to the Taliban in Afghanistan…Doctor Shakil Afridi, left to the Taliban in Pakistan and Saeed Abidini, left to the regime in Iran…By Barack HUSSEIN Obama – Islam’s TROJAN HORSE!!!
