Canadian media is reporting on that a Canadian foundation is assisting in the construction of a mosque in the Arctic city of Nunavut, the largest city and territorial capital of the Canadian territory of Nunavut. According to a CBC news report:
May 16, 2014 A growing Muslim community in Iqaluit is getting help to build a mosque from the same foundation that helped establish mosques in Inuvik, N.W.T., and Thompson, Man.
It would be the first official Islamic place of worship in Nunavut.
‘It’s gonna be nice. It’s gonna be beautiful. It’s gonna stand out in the city as a nice new building,’ said Hussain Guisti of the Zubaidah Tallab Foundation, a Manitoba-based Islamic charity.
Hussain Guisti of the Zubaidah Tallab Foundation says his group is working with the Islamic Society of Nunavut to construct a two-storey building to be used as a mosque. (CBC)
Guisti estimates there are currently 80 Muslims living in Iqaluit, and he expects that number to quadruple in the next two decades.
‘There’s been a tremendous increase in the number of Muslims in the past 20-some years in Iqaluit, and we anticipate that number to continue to grow because Iqaluit is a booming, developing city,’ he said.

Iqaluit has the highest number of Inuit people in both numbers (3,900) and percentages (59.1%), of all Canadian cities with populations greater than 5,000. The racial make up is:
There is no “majority mother tongue” in Iqaluit, as 45.4% reported their mother tongue as being English, and 45.4% also reported their mother tongue as Inuktitut. However 97.2% of Iqalummiuts can speak English, whereas only 53.1% can speak Inuktitut. French was the mother tongue of 4.8% of the population, which is the same figure of the population who can speak the language. Dear Wilhem,
Mamma Grizzly is ready to strike — our efforts to draft Sarah Palin for United States Senate are paying off.
Just last week, Sarah Palin called into a local Anchorage talk radio show — showing signs of reemergence into state politics.
And it’s all thanks to you, Wilhem.
You see — Sarah Palin knows we are with her in this race. She knows that if and when she declares her candidacy next month, she has the grassroots support of over 100,000 Americans and growing.
But that is not enough to win an election. We must strike before Mark Begich and national Democrats buy up all the Alaskan airwaves.
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, DSCC, has committed $3.5 million in ad buys in Alaska alone next fall. Mark Begich and the DSCC are afraid what Sarah Palin’s entrance could do to this race.
She will win the seat for conservatives.
Because Sarah Palin is a conservative, liberty-loving patriot — Obama, Harry Reid, liberal Super PACs, and other 3rd party radical groups are waiting at the ready to launch attacks against her

“The Kosovar newspaper quoted the man as saying ‘Allah is great’ before threatening to blow up the plane, 20 Minuti said.” But “the Kosovar police representative said at no time were passengers put at risk and the man implicated did not mention the word ‘Allah.’” The police of the Islamic supremacist Kosovar state (thanks, Bill Clinton) are clearly trying to cover up what happened. But the newspaper report is based on eyewitness accounts from passengers. So we see once again authorities whitewashing jihad to try to keep the public ignorant and complacent.
“Passenger ‘threatens to blow up Swiss plane,’” The Local, May 12, 2014:
A passenger threatened to blow up a plane carrying 150 people from Zurich to Pristina on Sunday, according to a report from Kosovo cited by the Swiss press.
The passenger, described as a man about 35 years old, brandished a cigarette lighter and a bottle filled with liquid and shouted threats, Italian-language Ticino newspaper 20 Minuti said on Monday.
The tabloid based its information on a report from Kosovar newspaper Koha Dittore. although this was contradicted by another account of what happened.
Albanian newspaper Gazeta Express said in an online report that the plane was operated by Swiss carrier Helvetic Airways, although the company declined to comment on the case when initially contacted.
The Kosovar newspaper quoted the man as saying “Allah is great” before threatening to blow up the plane, 20 Minuti said.
“We all go before God, do you want to go to heaven or hell,” the man is alleged to have said as the aircraft was travelling at an altitude of 10,000 metres.
“God is first, then comes Mohammed.”
the Kosovar newspaper said another passenger, experienced in martial arts, neutralized the would-be bomber, to the relief of the terrified people on board.
However, the Gazeta Express quoted a Kosovar police spokesman, Baki Kelani, who downplayed the incident.
Kelani said a difference arose between the passenger and a member of the plane’s crew but he denied there was any threat of an explosion.
“We have contacted the family of the passenger in question,” the policeman is quoted as saying.
“According to the information we have received , he was suffering from psychological problems.”
The Kosovar police representative said at no time were passengers put at risk and the man implicated did not mention the word “Allah”.
He was arrested for questioning by police after the plane arrived in Pristina.

Banaz Mahmod was murdered by her own family, in an honour killing. This film tells Banaz’s story, in her own words, for the first time – and tells the story of the extraordinary police team who refused to give up, and finally brought her killers to justice.
Emmy Award 2013 – Best International Current Affairs Film.
Peabody Award Winner 2013
British Royal Television Society Awards 2013 – Best Documentary, Current Affairs (nomination)
This is a documentary film chronicling an act of overwhelming horror – the honour killing of Banaz Mahmod, a young British woman in suburban London in 2006, killed and “disappeared” by her own family, with the agreement and help of a large section of the Kurdish community, because she tried to choose a life for herself.
It was a case which shocked the entire world and received enormous international press coverage; but until now, the voice of Banaz herself has never been heard.
As the result of four painstaking years gaining the trust and co-operation of the extraordinary police officers who solved the case, the film contains heart-breaking footage of Banaz herself, detailing the horrors she was facing and accurately predicting her own brutal murder. The footage, which has never before been seen and has been obtained by the filmmakers for the first time, displays the warmth, beauty and courage of Banaz.
Despite the horror, what emerges is a story of love…
Of Banaz, an ordinary young British teenager, whose relationship with Rahmat put her life in danger. It was her video messages from beyond the grave which convicted her father and uncle of the murder she feared would happen.
Of Bekhal, a young woman of incredible spirit and bravery, whose love for her murdered sister gave her the strength to testify against her own family and community – bringing justice to Banaz but consigning her to a life forever lived in hiding.
Of Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Goode, the senior Scotland Yard detective, who says she came to love Banaz beyond the grave. It was Caroline’s dedication and passion which drove her on, finding her body against all the odds, laying her to rest, and relentlessly pursuing her killers, even to Iraq.
And Deeyah, international music producer and activist turned filmmaker, who has herself been subject to honour related abuse and threat. It was Deeyah’s love for the story, for Banaz, for Bekhal and for Caroline, and for raising awareness for the issue of honour killing, which has driven her to spend four years making this harrowing and deeply emotional film, running out of funding long ago, but forming an intimate bond with all the key players, which plays out on screen in scenes of astonishingly confessional testimony.
Banaz is a symbol of horror and hope in the fight to overcome oppression and outdated, abominable cultural practices, practices which claim the lives of thousands of other women like Banaz every year.
But above all, the film is an act of remembrance, an act of recovery of Banaz, one human being. After her family tried so brutally to erase her from the face of the earth, for the first time, Banaz’s voice is finally being heard.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
In the making of this film, Deeyah has worked with a wide range of experts, activists and NGOs specialising in the field of honour-based violence, some of whom have been interviewed for the film. This collaborative process has led to a shared recognition of the urgent need for online educational resources and campaigning networks dedicated to this vital issue.
As a result, the making of Banaz: A Love Story, has led to Deeyah and her partners founding two initiatives:
HBVA (Honour Based Violence Awareness Network), an international digital resource centre working to advance awareness through research, documentation, information and training for professionals who may encounter women, girls and men at risk, building partnerships with experts, activists, and NGOs from around the world.
Memini, an online memorial to victims of honour killing. Memini exists to acknowledge the lives and deaths of thousands who are killed in the ongoing massacre of “honour” killing. We seek to create a community of remembrance to end the silence, honour the dead and keep their memories alive, collecting and preserving the stories of women like Banaz, as well as celebrating their strength and courage.

As member countries of the UN Security Council start to get worried about the number of their own citizens now fighting with the terrorists in Al Qaeda. Blaming the internet for their enticement and not the media or their own governments who are supporting the the terrorists by claiming the ridiculous lie that Dr. Bashar Al Assad is killing his own people.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan invites these terrorists into his country, arms them and trains them, before sending them into Syria to kill innocent civilians. In May of last year Turkish police arrested 12 terrorists who were in possession of chemical weapons.
UN inspector Carla Del Ponte’s made a statement confirming the use of chemical weapons by the Western-backed terrorists in Syria.
So why is the UN Security Council turning a blind eye to what is happening in Turkey? We can only conclude the reason is, because the US is…
