President Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Monster-in-Charge of Egypt, has announced the pardon of Mostafa Hamza, a leader of The Islamic Group.
Al-Jamaa Al-Islamiya leader Mostafa Hamza, detained for terrorist activity and attempt on Hosni Mubarak’s life, released Tuesday by President Morsi’s pardon. Hamza, a leading member of Islamic organisation Al-Jamaa Al-Islamiya, was extradited to Egypt from Iran in 2004. He was detained following terrorism-related charges that included being a member of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
Forget Mubarak, Hamza was responsible for a lot of atrocities, but his ugliest hour may have been the Luxor Massacre.
Six black-garbed gunmen killed two police officers and shot unarmed ticket-takers Monday while taking over the temple compound.
They then took their time–”dancing and singing” for an hour, one survivor said–as they slaughtered and mutilated helpless visitors from Switzerland, Japan, Germany, Britain and several other countries.
Police said Thursday that a note found in the wallet of one of the attackers said the operation had been ordered by an Islamic Group leader, Mustafa Hamza, who is believed to be in hiding in Afghanistan.
The Luxor Massacre has been mostly forgotten, but it deserves to be remembered as a template of the Islamist soul. The full horror of what happened there needs to be understood for us to understand what Morsi has just done.
As they ran past a Japanese tourist, she said, one of the men fired into the woman’s face from a range of about 15 inches.
“They made us get down on our knees,” Ms Dousse said. “And then they started shooting. A man who was very heavy fell on me and the lady behind me also covered me … They shot me in the arm and leg, and then they started again shooting those who were still alive in the head.
The gunmen “took all the young women, the girls, and disappeared with them. I don’t know where they went with the women, but they hurt them. We could hear screams of pain,” Dousse said.
“It went on for a long time, an hour or an hour and a half. The terrorists came back again and again; they danced and sang,” she said.
Among the horrors, the marauders cut off the ears and noses of several of their victims. A note praising Islam was found inside one disemboweled body.
The foreign dead included 31 Swiss, 10 Japanese, five Germans, four Britons one a child a Bulgarian, a Colombian and a French citizen. The Japanese victims were four newlywed couples and an elderly couple on their second honeymoon.
A statement issued in the name of Egypt’s most prominent Islamic militant group said that the massacre had begun as an effort to take hostages in order to secure the release of a leader imprisoned in New York for his role in the World Trade Center bombing. But the accounts by survivors gave no hint of any attempts to take tourists alive – only to kill and, perhaps, to butcher, them.
The terrorists came back, as they sang, danced and shouted “Allah, Allah …”. It took an eternity before help arrived.
Two British backpackers told last night how a screaming terrorist slit the throat of a tourist as he begged for mercy. Stuart Bentley and Paula Wainwright watched terrified from behind a pillar as the black-clad gunman first riddled the man’s legs with bullets as he tried to flee.
Stuart said: “I saw three men dressed in black.They were screaming something, almost like a chant, and shooting indiscriminately.
“I saw one man, who looked European, trying to run away. He was shot in the legs, rolled over and clasped his hands together as if begging for his life. But the gunman just cut his throat and began firing again.”
The remains of the Luxor massacre victim Joan Turner were eventually flown back to Britain yesterday. The body of her daughter, Karina, is still missing.
Behind the difficulties in identifying the bodies of the family lies the brutal fact that their Muslim fundamentalist killers had deliberately disfigured the bodies of their victims after stripping them. They had been shot in the face after they were dead.
After the September 11, 2012 attacks, Morsi pardoned one of the worst monsters in the ranks of Egyptian Salafists, the man who ordered this atrocity. This is not an accident, this is a message. It is a statement from the Muslim Brotherhood that Obama has put in charge of Egypt. “I am with you.”
Whatever outrage there was over the freeing of the Lockerbie bomber should be doubled and trebled in this case. The Luxor Massacre was far more horrifying than Lockerbie. It was closer to Beslan and Morsi has made it clear that his new Egypt is on the side of the perpetrators of the Luxor Massacre.

Luxor Survivors Say Killers Fired Methodically

When Linka Fingerhuth, 32, a Swiss tourist, heard the pop-popping of automatic rifle fire at the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, Egypt, last Monday, she thought that someone was shooting at a troublesome dog she could see scuttling away in the distance. But she soon discovered that she was a likely target herself.
Crouched behind one of the soaring columns that distinguish the 3,400-year-old temple — a ”must” destination for foreign visitors to Egypt — Ms. Fingerhuth, a magazine journalist from Zurich, peered down toward the temple entrance.
”People were running away, left and right,” she said in an interview at her home. Two tourists standing atop a ramp leading to the temple’s middle courtyard suddenly keeled over awkwardly, as if to pick something up from the ground, she said.
Then she understood why: sprinting toward her hiding place were two men carrying assault rifles. As they ran past a Japanese tourist, she said, one of the men fired into the woman’s face from a range of about 15 inches.
The close-range salvos and the chaos were the start of a half-hour of relentless and systematic terror. In the next 30 to 35 minutes, 58 foreigners — 35 of them Swiss — and 4 Egyptians, along with 6 gunmen, would perish in the worst terrorist attack ever in Egypt — an assault for which the militant Islamic Group quickly took responsibility.
Some Answers To the Rumors
A welter of rumors and unanswered questions followed the mayhem. Did the attackers, as some witnesses suggested, sexually moleste young women? Did they dance on mutilated dead bodies? Was there any immediate response from the Egyptian security forces?
From interviews with survivors and Egyptian investigators, from the published statements of other survivors and from the reports of forensic specialists in Switzerland, some answers are emerging.
The attack appears to have been as methodical as it was gruesome. The six gunmen operated in pairs, Egyptian investigators say, with the two men who killed the police guards then taking their place near the temple entrance to ward off an expected counterattack that never came.
The other four attackers carried out most of the killing, investigators say, splitting off right and left as they rushed into the middle courtyard and toward the crowds of tourists like Ms. Fingerhuth among the columns at the rear.
In all, the gunmen carried six automatic rifles, three butcher knives, two pistols and a police walkie-talkie taken from one of the slain guards. Beneath their coats they had stashed clipload after clipload of ammunition: their supply was still not exhausted when the last five of them were finally killed by the police three hours later, near the Valley of the Queens.
Most of the victims were shot in the head and chest, suggesting an attack that proceeded with discipline and precision, Egyptian investigators said. Some were slashed and hacked with knives, so viciously in one case that a victim’s head was nearly severed, witnesses and Egyptian investigators said.
Aim Said to Be Death, Not Mutilation
Egyptian and Swiss forensic experts said many of the victims had been utterly disfigured by gunshot and stab wounds. Egyptian officials say they have found no evidence that victims were intentionally mutilated, although the officials and witnesses confirmed that some of the victims had been ”finished off with knives” after first being wounded with gunshots.
Several witnesses, including Abdelnasser Ahmed Ibrahim, 27, an unarmed guard employed by the Government to watch over the temple’s ancient treasures, said some knife wounds had been particularly horrific: one woman’s stomach had been so badly slashed that it gaped open, he said.
But Egyptian investigators said there was no evidence to corroborate a report in a Swiss newspaper that a German woman saw her father beheaded. They said the grievous facial wounds attributed by some witnesses to deliberate mutilation seemed to have been caused by automatic rifles fired from very close range.
One wounded Swiss witness, Rosemarie Dousse, 66, has that said young women were separated from the groups of tourists and led away to be sexually abused. But Egyptian officials said they had found no evidence of such abuse, and Ms. Fingerhuth and Egyptian and foreign witnesses reported seeing no sign that any tourists had been singled out in this way.
Egyptian investigators have been able to identify only one of the assailants, even though photographs of the bodies of five of the six men have been published in Egyptian newspapers.
The sole gunman identified, Methat Ahmed Abdelrahman, had been sought by the police as a suspected terrorist, but there was no evidence that he had taken part in previous attacks.
A note found in one gunman’s pocket suggested that the attackers were aligned with Mostapha Hamza, a leader of the Islamic Group who is believed to be in Afghanistan, but how and where the assault was planned remains a mystery.
Gunmen Were Able To Kill at Will
What is now beyond doubt is that from the moment the attack began, the assailants were able to kill at will.
”I kept waiting to hear someone firing back, but there was nothing,” said Ms. Fingerhuth, a widow who had left her two young children — Anna, 5, and Balz, 3 — with relatives in Zurich while she went on vacation.
When it began, Ms. Fingerhuth said, she and a group of about a dozen tourists were inspecting a wall-relief in a small side chapel several hundred yards above and beyond the entrance.
Then they entered the chapel just as the shooting began.
”I saw a dog running, and I said, ‘They are shooting at the dog,’ ” Ms. Fingerhuth recalled.
Then came the realization that the temple was under attack, and Ms. Fingerhuth thought that one of the attackers had caught sight of her.
She and three others — her friend Trix Nigg, 33, Felix E. Muller and his wife, who was not identified by name, clambered over a wall and took cover in a small ruined enclosure.
As they cowered low, they would later learn, other tourists less than 20 feet away were trapped among the sandstone pillars of ancient colonnades, from which there was no escape.
”Now the shooting is very close,” Mr. Muller, a journalist, wrote on Tuesday in the Neue Zurcher Zeitung newspaper. ”There are hysterical screams, rending cries, Arabic commands — all sending multiple echoes from the rock walls around us.”
But at the end, Ms. Fingerhuth said, ”there were only the screams of the victims, and the attackers shouting, ”Allah u Akbar!” — ”God is most great!” — both a religious utterance and the rallying cry of Islamic fundamentalism across the Muslim world.
No Sign of Police For a Long Time
It is clear that the six men who carried out the attack met with no armed resistance until long after they fled in a taxi and then a hijacked bus, some 45 minutes after the massacre began.
By killing two police guards posted 400 yards apart at the outset of the assault, the gunmen eliminated the only armed security at the site, Egyptian investigators say. Reinforcements did not arrive until after the attackers left.
”We cannot let the police off the hook,” said a senior Egyptian investigator who spoke on condition of anonymity. ”We understand that it was a terrorist attack, but if the police had responded more quickly, many lives would have been saved.”
Only 20 or 30 minutes after the attack ended and Ms. Fingerhuth left her hiding place did she and other survivors encounter police reinforcements approaching the temple in a jeep as a tour bus was carrying the survivors, including four wounded tourists, back to Luxor.
Indeed, she said, Egyptian civilians and tour guides were the first to rescue survivors and try to tend wounded and dead. From the accounts of Ms. Fingerhuth and Mr. Muller, it seems that the terrorists crisscrossed the temple’s middle court, moving away then returning to gun down people who had taken cover and who screamed in terror when they were discovered.
Fear Has Not Left The Survivors
Although the attack began about 8:45 A.M., it was not until noon that the police finally cornered the last five of the gunmen after chasing them for more than two hours through the stark desert hills.
During that chase, the sixth gunman, who collapsed after being wounded, was killed by his companions, apparently to prevent his capture, Egyptian investigators said. As the two sides exchanged fire throughout the pursuit, tourists across the area were ordered to take cover in ancient tombs.
”After a period of calm, we came up thinking it was safe, but the firing started again,” Karen Dean, an Egyptology student from Warwick University in England who was among those pinned down in the latter stage of the morning melee told reporters on her return home. ”This time the police started firing back. There was fear in their eyes, and they were firing large rifles.”
The fear has not yet left survivors like Ms. Fingerhuth. After her return home on Tuesday, she said, she thought she was dreaming that a terrorist wanted to kill her, then that another tourist wanted to share her hiding place and she was saying there was no room.
Then, she said, she awoke to find that ”it was my daughter asking to get into bed with me.”

A 2001 raid in Switzerland unearthed a chilling manifesto now dubbed “The Project,” a detailed Islamic blueprint for infiltrating, subverting and ultimately defeating the U.S. and the West. Today, 80 file boxes worth of evidence submitted during the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial — the largest terror financing trial in U.S. history to date — including “The Project” documents, are being withheld from the American public by the Department of Justice.
On Wednesday, September 26, TheBlaze documentary unit released the first installment of this chilling two-part series outlining how the current administration has stonewalled repeated requests by Congress to release the disturbing documents and for allowing the Muslim Brotherhood greater entree into American government. Further the documentary reveals just how close American-Islamic operatives from groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) have been to subverting the U.S. and Israel.
The Holy Land Foundation trial
The lynchpin of documentary is found in the Holy Land Foundation trial, which was brought to bear by the Justice Department first in 2007 and then again in 2008 against the Holy Land Foundation, a “charity” that was later found to have funneled more than $12 million to the terrorist organization, Hamas. During the discovery process for the trial, prosecutors submitted 80 boxes of Islamic material including the The Project document. Strangely, “subject matter experts” were subsequently called in deemed the documents inadmissible as evidence. The identity of these experts or the grounds on which they came to their conclusion has never been revealed.
During the trial, five Islamists were convicted, including a founding board member of CAIR. The documentary also delves into many of the key players and American-Islamic groups currently operating against U.S. interests and discusses other un-indicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation trial.
Soviet and Nazi parallels
The first half of the documentary provides background on “The Project” documents and how the Muslim Brotherhood has been successfully waging a “propaganda” campaign in much the same way the former Soviet Union did before and during the Cold War. One such push advocated by the Brotherhood is to purge the U.S. and its government of anything deemed offensive to Islam, including teachers, lecturers and library books.
Among those interviewed for the series was Rep. Michele Bachmann, member of the House Intelligence Committee, who likened the “purging” of people and material critical of Islam as akin to the type of purging that was carried out in Nazi Germany at the behest of Adolf Hitler.
TheBlaze documentary team also drew stark parallels between the current climate surrounding the Muslim Brotherhood’s infiltration of U.S. government and that of the Communist infiltration of U.S. government during the Cold War. The documentary reminds viewers that after the Hitler-Stalin pact — a non-agression pact between the two nations during WWII — was violated, a contingent of Americans began a Communist “outreach” effort, believing it prudent to incorporate Communists into the U.S. government, including the Treasury Department and the pre-cursor to the C.I.A.
To place the Islamic threat in its proper context, the documentary notes how the Communist Manifesto, by all means nothing more than a minuscule pamphlet, became the greatest “life and death threaten to the Western world” until 1990. Likewise, Hitler’s book Mein Kampf (which, ironically means “my struggle,“ the same as ”jihad”) provided key insight into the führer’s political ideology and goals of world domination long before he put his “Final Solution” into effect.
Juxtaposing World War II and the Cold War with the current war on terror, the documentary also points out how critics of Islam today are being vilified in much the same way as was Republican Sen. Joseph McCarthy, and, ten years earlier, Democratic Senator Martin Dies Jr.. Ironically, both Dies and McCarthy were correct in their assertion that American government had been breached by those who championed a totalitarian ideology anathema to U.S. interests.
Today, those who question the Islamist-influence on U.S. government, or who call terrorism and Islamic extremists by their rightful names, are painted as “bigots” — much like those who questioned one’s Communist affiliation was dubbed a “Red Baiter.” This policy of shaming Islam-critics in the public square is a propagandist tool engineered to stifle honest and open dialogue.
Ironically, one of the panelists noted that were President Ronald Reagan in the Oval Office today, he would have considered Islamism a far more grave threat to the United States and greater Western world than was the Soviet Union.

“The Project” documents were the work of Islamist Youssef Nada and became Muslims’ blueprint for defeating the U.S. by controlling speech through shame, coercion and blasphemy laws and by endearing Islamists and Islamist-causes to the U.S. government. The goal is to subvert the U.S. in a way that would be gradual, yet permanent.
Anyone who sees the parallel between Nada’s plan and how the U.S. government has recently latched onto the term “Islamophobia,” using it as a catalyst for purging FBI training manuals of information on Islam, or how Muslim Brotherhood members have been given entry into U.S. government, can see “civilization jihad” is already in full swing.
The document was drafted in 1982 and discovered during a raid by authorities in Switzerland in 2001. They were submitted as part of 80 boxes worth of evidence by prosecution during the Holy Land Foundation trial — the largest terror-funding trial in U.S. history to date — but were ultimatley not permitted for reasons that remain unknown. Today, “The Project” documents have been classified and are withheld from public view by the Department of Justice despite pleas by members of Congress to unseal the records.
Calling on experts like Stephen Coughlin, Andrew McCarthy and Rep. Michele Bachmann to name a few, The Project provides key insights into why Americans are currently witnessing an increase in political correctness where Islam is concerned, a U.S. “policy of appeasement” in the face of terrorist acts, and how members of the current administration are warming to a host of Muslim Brotherhood affiliates.
At the end of the day more than 700 documents and 300 presentations were deemed by “ unusable“ by alleged ”subject matter experts“ during the Holy Land trial because they were considered ”offensive to the Muslim community.” Even the FBI was denied the identity of who, exactly, these so-called subject matter experts were.
Since Nada’s blueprint was discovered and translated earlier on (and is provided below), his blueprint for what is essentially a global caliphate is clear. What is not clear are the details contained in the rest of the file boxes, or why the administration appears to be protecting those who seek jihad against the U.S. and the West. At the end of the day, lawmakers and experts are adamant that the documents belong not to the Executive Branch of U.S. government, but rather to the people.
Andrew McCarthy, the assistant U.S. attorney responsible for prosecuting the “Blind Sheik,” weighed in throughout the series, saying he did not see “any valid reason” nor any “legally compelling reason” to withhold the evidence.
Perhaps the most ironic point to note is that defendants in the Holy Land Foundation trial had access to these documents as part of the discovery process, yet when members of the House Judiciary Committee on oversight called on U.S. Attorney General to furnish them with the same, their attempts were stonewalled.
To note, the Holy Land Foundation was found guilty in 2008 of providing $12 million in funding to Hamas. Named as un-indicted co-conspirators in the trial were the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), both of which have documented ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Organization of the Islamic Conference
One of the ways in which Nada’s plan is currently manifesting itself, is through the Organization of Islamic the Conference, an international body comprising 56 Islamic states and the Palestinian Authority dedicated to Muslim economic, social, political and religious solidarity. In other words, a modern-day caliphate.
To this end, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton even attended a summit in Turkey to meet with the head of the OIC as he was garnering support for United Nations Resolution No. 1618 concerning defamation of religion.
Experts consulted agree that Clinton then “committed to a foreign entity” that she would use a classic method of shame and peer pressure to coerce all those who would stand in disagreement with the resolution.
Many forget that the caliphate, as embodied by the Ottoman Empire, existed less than 100 years ago. Experts consider the OIC a modern-day caliphate and it is already seeking the implementation of sharia law with regards to blaspheming against Islam through the UN Human Rights Council. In fact, the OIC proudly dubs itself the “Ummah,” or Muslim community. It should also be noted that the Obama White House has even appointed an OIC special envoy, Rashad Hussein.

“The Blaze” television network aired a two part series last night and Wednesday night called The Project. It showed how the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrated the United States, is seeking to take over the entire world with Sharia (Islamic) Law, and literally turn the globe into an Islamic world.
Many facts and true investigative reporting was displayed by Glenn Beck and his team who created The Project. Experts were brought in discussing some alarming findings. For those who have been following Islamic movements, very little should have been seen as new. But for those who don’t really “get it,” it is something worth watching.
The Project came during a critical time. The Middle East has imploded with violence, Al Qaeda exemplified through the assassination of Ambassador Chris Stevens that it has not been defeated, and Iran continues its nuclear endeavors barking the extermination of Israel. By: Kerry Patton:
After watching the two part series, some questions need to be asked. The most important question is whether anyone in either political party realizes that neither the Sunni sect nor their Islamic rival, the Shi’ites, are worthy any American support.
Not long ago, many astute researchers of Islam said that entering Afghanistan may have been the wrong nation to attack after 9-11. We have been fed insight declaring the Taliban as Al Qaeda’s protectors and that Afghanistan was Al Qaeda’s “base.” All of this information may be true under the physical sense of things. But much more to the story exists.
How many Afghans were on those aircraft on that beautiful September day which sparked the Global War on Terror? How many Afghans actually contributed monetary expenses to see the terror attack come to fruition? To both questions, the answer is zero.
So who did truly support 9-11? Two main nations were behind the 9-11 incident and interestingly enough, they are not friendly to the other—Saudi Arabia and Iran—one Sunni and one Shi’ite state. And yes, Iran was identified as a culprit behind the terror attacks based off a recent federal magistrate’s finding. But the United States did nothing to Saudi Arabia and frankly we did nothing to Iran per the 9-11 attacks.
For many years, Republicans and Democrats have declared Saudi Arabia as a “friend” to the United States. But to suggest such is foolish considering they are the financial backer to virtually every global Sunni jihadist initiative.
Saudi Arabia has been identified as financing the majority of all Mosques and Madrassas world-wide. They are the key financier to the second largest international organization as well—the Organization of the Islamic Council—only second in size to the United Nations. And, deep within, they are the current brain behind the Muslim Brotherhood—the very organization identified in The Project seeking to wage a global jihad. They have been known to finance terrorist groups such as Hamas—one of the Muslim Brotherhood’s militant wings.
Americans have been fed too much propaganda about Saudi Arabia. They are not a friend to the United States. But they are monetarily powerful through oil which is why elected American officials are willing to bend over backwards to their waking call—misleading citizens about the Kingdom.
And we have been misled. We have been misled about virtually everything taking place throughout the Middle East and Persia. Specifically, we have been misled about Iran too. Don’t jump the gun though thinking this is some pro-Iranian article.
Iran is in fact an incredibly dangerous nation. Not only are they seeking nuclear ambitions, they also wage their own jihad through clandestine operations. Iran created the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp. Through the IRGC, Al Quds was created and so was Hezbollah—three incredibly dangerous asymmetric entities executing terrorist tactics.
How many pro-Iranian terror groups can be listed just off the top of our heads? Hezbollah? Now, let’s think about that for a moment and identify Sunni based terror groups.

Of course this list is not complete rather these are just the groups identified without thinking too hard and doing any internet search. Really, these are just the ones we hear about from time to time through the news.
What do all these Sunni based terror groups have in common? They all have either active or passive ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. They also have ties back to Saudi Arabia.
Now, if a nation openly declares that it would love to see Israel wiped off this earth, Israel needs to handle the threat—maybe some of their allies should show them who their true friends are as well by supporting them. But don’t think for a moment that Islamists following the Sunni belief haven’t sought to see Israel decimated similarly as the Shi’ites in Iran have—but few Western politicians are willing to admit such.
Does anyone see an issue here? Does anyone see the evidence that points to poor decision making by the United States? Does anyone believe that Saudi Arabia, the master behind the Sunni based global jihad, is any less threatening than Iran? By the way, Saudi Arabia doesn’t need a nuclear weapon considering their puppet Sunni nation in South Central Asia, Pakistan, already has one.
America has picked a side supporting a Sunni led global jihad. We picked a side that has been biting us in the butt for many years—a side, per The Project, that has infiltrated virtually every US institution changing the ways we as a nation live.
As mentioned, none of this should be construed as believing Iran should be let off the hook. It is simply meant to show that neither side is the right one. Let’s face the facts–when it comes to the Sunni-Shi’ite divide, we have no friends and picking a side has proven deadly.

By now, people realize that something very mysterious is taking place globally. That something isn’t just a default caused by elected officials—inept protectors. No. It is a very complex unseen phenomenon called subversion. And, it’s happening right before our very eyes.
Earlier in the week, it was noted that Spain could be on the brink of a civil war. Many Spaniards protested claims made in the article and even more claimed I knew nothing of which I was speaking. Maybe I don’t but that is subjective and truth be told, I admit I know very little about the geo-political atmospherics taking place in places like Spain.
But, I do know how subversive activities work through years of studying and operating against aggressive and incredibly threatening agents who have done everything to destroy not only the United States but our allies across the globe.
What I do know is the fact that a global series of protests have unfolded over the past year. How did these protests come together? What sparked hundreds of thousands of persons around the globe to actually take to the streets in protest? What were they actually protesting about? Do they even know why they were protesting?
This is how subversion, or what my very good friend Kent Clizbe calls in his book Willing Accomplices as covert influence, works—something the Russians have mastered. Subversion is very active yet striking persons in an incredibly passive, almost nonchalant, way. Again, you cannot feel the activity, taste it, touch it, or smell it—you can only be conditioned to it.
Many living in this world have embraced a very unique subversive action meant to overthrow current nation states. But these passive players often have no clue what or who is truly behind the ordeal nor do they truly understand why they truly are participating in activities they would normally have nothing to do with.
When grass roots initiatives blossom into large scale global endeavors, it is easy to infiltrate institutions along with social or political systems. The Muslim Brotherhood is doing this every day as we speak and we know this due to their document of infiltration operations known as The project.
But others have sought to infiltrate institutions and have succeeded long before the Muslim Brotherhood had. The Communist party spread throughout the world and infiltrated virtually every global institution known.
But infiltrating an institution is only part of the subversive game. Remember the Russian Spy network which Anna Chapman was part of? Their entire intent was to infiltrate powerful institutions like the US government and our media. Once they infiltrated and got the ear of some high ranking persons, they would socially condition those assets who would later embrace a threatening ideology.
America is a relatively safe place. However, a regime halfway around the world could destroy our way of life. From the beginning, the current Iranian regime made it clear that America is public enemy #1. One way to seriously damage America would be a nuke, and one terrifying scenario is a nuclear bomb detonated at high altitude. This is an issue that Congressional commissions and others have investigated, and concluded that it is a credible threat. This would cause severe damage or catastrophic destruction to the electric grid across America. In this day and age, everything ultimately depends on electric power: communications, transportation, banking, finance, food and water. The result of such an attach would mean that within a short amount of time, it will be nearly impossible to get food and water, pump gas, provide medical care, withdraw money or use cellular phones. Moreover, without electricity, nuclear power plants melt down. If their containment buildings are breeched, the areas around them could become uninhabitable for centuries. Anarchy. Starvation. Disease. As long as the current Iranian regime is in power, we are NOT SAFE..
Egyptian President Warns World: ‘We Will Not Allow’ Insults to Islam

In his speech to the United Nations on Wednesday, Egypt’s President Mohamed Morsi condemned “insults hurled on the prophet of Islam, Mohammed,” and said the United Nations must do something about it.
“We reject this. We cannot accept it,” he said, speaking of insults to Islam. “And we will be the opponents of those who do this. We will not allow anyone to do this by word or deed.”
The warning that “We will not allow anyone to do this” was spoken through a translator and did not appear in the prepared text of Morsi’s speech.
Mentioning “an organized campaign against Islamic sanctities,” Morsi said the U.N. has a “main responsibility” in addressing Islamophobia, which “is starting to have implications that clearly affect international peace and security.”
“We all have to work together,” Morsi said. “We must join hands in confronting these regressive ideas that hinder cooperation among us. We must move together to confront extremism and discrimination and incitement to hatred on the basis of religion or race.”
Moments later, Morsi addressed freedom of expression, saying it has limits:
“Egypt respects freedom of expression — freedom of expression that is not used to incite hatred against anyone, not a freedom of expression that targets a specific religion or a specific culture; a freedom of expression that tackles extremism and violence, not the freedom of expression that deepens ignorance and disregards others.
“We also, as we have said before and reaffirmed before, we also stand firmly against the use of violence in expressing objection to these obscenities.”
While Morsi did not call for a global ban on blasphemy in his speech to the U.N., other Muslim leaders have done so.
As CNSNews.com reported, the leaders of the world’s two most populous Muslim countries used their speeches at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday to call for a legally-binding, global anti-blasphemy protocol.
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his Pakistan counterpart, Asif Ali Zardari, both argued that insults against Mohammed, Islam’s prophet, incite violence and are not legitimate free speech.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of ethnic cleansing for building settlements in east Jerusalem. ‘It is a campaign of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people via the demolition of their homes,’ Abbas said in his speech to the UN General Assembly.
Ahmadinejad and Morsi Lay Out the Islamic Agenda
by Robert Spencer/Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Mohammed Morsi, arguably the foremost exponents today of Sharia rule, both spoke at the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday, and their speeches together amounted to an Islamic supremacist wish list for the world.
The foremost item on their list, not surprisingly, was the destruction of Israel, although both knew better in the glare of international media than to state their aspirations quite so baldly.
Ahmadinejad drenched his address in Islamic piety, beginning with a traditional Islamic invocation: “In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful. All Praise Belongs to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and May Peace and Blessings be upon the Greatest and Trustworthy Prophet and His Pure Progeny, His Chosen Companions, and upon all Divine Messengers. Oh, God, Hasten the Emergence of Your Chosen Beloved, Grant Him Good Health and Victory, Make us His Best Companions, and all those who attest to His Rightfulness.” And then: “I thank the Almighty God for having once more the chance to participate in this meeting. We have gathered here to ponder and work together for building a better life for the entire human community and for our nations.”
And how can we work together for building a better life? Ahmadinejad ticked off a list of things that he posited had interfered with international brotherhood and harmony, including “egoism, distrust, malicious behaviors, and dictatorships,” as well as the Dark Ages and the Crusades (although he didn’t mention the centuries of murderous jihad warfare all over the globe).
His list culminated with his principal bogeys, the chief things he believed interfered with global peace: “the occupation of Palestine and imposition of a fake government”; Saddam Hussein’s “invasion” of Iran; 9/11 and the subsequent U.S. military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan; and a host of others. Among them, he complained about the supposed denial of “the right to criticize the hegemonic policies and actions of the world Zionism.” It was hard not to wonder at such moments in his speech what planet he was on, since the Palestinian jihadist propaganda machine has had such success in demonizing Israel in the world media; but of course a linchpin of that success has been to complain that the situation is exactly the opposite, and so that is what Ahmadinejad did in New York Wednesday.
In a speech that was heavy on Islamic proselytizing, after his survey of the world’s ills Ahmadinejad asked: “Does anybody believe that continuation of the current order is capable of bringing happiness for human society?” And further: “Who is responsible for all these sufferings and failures?” He left that question unanswered at that point, although at another point he railed against the “uncivilized Zionists,” and he went on to delineate his prescription: “There is no doubt that the world is in need of a new order and a fresh way of thinking.” Foremost this would be “an order in which man is recognized as God’s Supreme Creature, enjoying material and spiritual qualities and possessing a pure and divine nature filled with a desire to seek justice and truth.” Consequently he called upon the nations to “place our trust in God Almighty and stand against the acquisitive minority” – in other words, to adopt Sharia and stand against Israel.
Morsi, for his part, was less subtle. “The first issue which the world must exert all its efforts in resolving,” he declared, “on the basis of justice and dignity, is the Palestinian cause.” He labeled it “shameful that the free world accepts, regardless of the justifications provided, that a member of the international community continues to deny the rights of a nation that has been longing for decades for independence.” About the many Israel peace offers and chances to establish a state that the Palestinian jihadists contemptuously cast aside he was, of course, silent, retailing Palestinian propaganda talking points as he called for “immediate and significant measures to put an end to colonization, settlement activities, and the alteration in the identity of Occupied Jerusalem.”
Morsi also added an additional item to Ahmadinejad’s laundry list for global harmony: the eradication of “Islamophobia.” “We must join hands,” he said ringingly, “in confronting these regressive ideas that hinder cooperation among us. We must act together in the face of extremism, discrimination, and incitement to hatred on the basis of religion or race….We have a responsibility in this international gathering to study how we can protect the world from instability and hatred.” How could this be done? Egypt, he said, “respects freedom of expression,” but only such expression that is “not used to incite hatred against anyone” and that is “not directed towards one specific religion or culture” – a freedom of expression that “tackles extremism and violence,” not the kind that “deepens ignorance and disregards others.” In other words, he was calling for international restrictions on speech that Muslims find objectionable.
Destruction of Israel and of the freedom of speech, both couched in high-flown terms that eluded most of the hearers and much of the international media. But the intentions of both of these Islamic supremacist presidents was clear. More’s the pity that there was no voice of freedom to stand up and defend free states, free speech and free people in terms just as clear. And because of that lack, Ahmadinejad and Morsi may well get what is on their wish list.

After All the UN Speeches Will Anything Change?
By week’s end all the speeches at the opening for the General Assembly of the United Nations will have been spoken, all the rallies finished screaming, all the banners and signs put away, and only the final press reports will remain to be published. Very few if any minds will have been changed. Iran will still be spinning their centrifuges as fast and as many as possible while calling for an end to Zionism and America as is required of any leader of the Islamic world. Egypt will continue to appear just friendly enough to keep the United States bountiful taps open and pouring forth cash while Egypt creeps ever more solidly towards their Islamist goals with their eye on the top position. Turkey will continue its slide towards their goal of becoming the new leader of the united Islamic world. Iraq will continue to speak with one voice to their American benefactors as the infidel troops slowly depart while cozying up to Iran allowing Iranian supply trucks carrying the troops and weaponry across to supply Syria with their lifeline. And President Bashar Assad will continue the carnage refusing to surrender as to do so would likely cost him his life. Europe will continue their monetary game of kick the Euros in attempts to infuse funds to stave off a total collapse of the European Union and with it the Euro itself. Israel will still be drawing red lines in the sand while the leader of the United States continues his Mr. Magoo imitation concerning the Iranian nuclear weapons program. And the major news outlets in the United States can return to full time coverage of the November Presidential Elections issuing meaningless polls even through the day when the only poll that actually matters is ongoing. Just as the ancient Chinese curse goes, we do indeed live in interesting times.

The reasons include the creation of an Islamic no-go zone in the Palfrey Park area, where a man was attacked and left seriously injured for bringing a pet dog into the area for a walk.
As reported by Digital Journal, the previous EDL counter demonstration organised by UAF at Walthamstow under the name ‘We Are Walthamstow’, descended into violence, as an assortment of makeshift weaponry were thrown at EDL demonstrators in an attempt to stop them from speaking and raising their specific concerns about problems in the area with Islamic extremists. By contrast the EDL demonstration passed off peacefully.
Large-scale police operation
The Express & Star reports that over 800 police officers will be on duty. Patrols will be concentrated in 42 identified potential trouble spots, including mosques and pubs.
A LARGE-SCALE policing operation is underway in Walsall town centre today (Saturday 29 September).
Supporters of the English Defence League (EDL) are planning to stage a static demonstration in the town centre, while groups in opposition to the EDL are also due to hold an event in the town simultaneously.
As on previous occasions, the police have no power to ban a static protest – in fact the right to protest peacefully is a sign of a healthy democracy and West Midlands Police has a positive duty to facilitate that right.
Assistant Chief Constable Garry Forsyth, who is leading the policing operation, said: “West Midlands Police does not welcome this protest as we recognise that many people feel anxious about it being in the town.
“Like them, we believe that our resources would be better placed in neighbourhoods tackling the crimes which matter most to local people.
“However, we want people to feel reassured and in response to community concerns, we are staging a large-scale operation on the day to ensure that everyone who comes to the town centre, be it to take part in the protests, or to go about their day to day business, can do so in safety.
“Officers will be deployed throughout the town to provide a visible reassurance to retailers, shoppers and all those visiting Walsall.
“Any criminal or public order offences will be robustly dealt with.
“People should go about their normal business and not allow the protest to affect them or undermine Walsall’s reputation as a harmonious town with many different cultures living alongside each other in peace. The policing operation will strive to ensure it remains that way.”

Towards a worldwide strategy for Islamic policy(Points of Departure, Elements, Procedures and Missions)
This report presents a global vision of a worldwide strategy for Islamic policy [or “political Islam”]. Local Islamic policies will be drawn up in the different regions in accordance with its guidelines. It acts, first of all, to define the points of departure of that policy, then to set up the components and the most important procedures linked to each point of departure; finally we suggest several missions, by way of example only, may Allah protect us.
The following are the principal points of departure of this policy:
Point of Departure 1: To know the terrain and adopt a scientific methodology for its planning and execution.
Point of Departure 2: To demonstrate proof of the serious nature of the work.
Point of Departure 3: To reconcile international engagement with flexibility at a local level.
Point of Departure 4: To reconcile political engagement and the necessity of avoiding isolation on one hand, with permanent education and institutional action on the other.
Point of Departure 5: To be used to establish an Islamic State; parallel, progressive efforts targeted at controlling the local centers of power through institutional action.
Point of Departure 6: To work with loyalty alongside Islamic groups and institutions in multiple areas to agree on common ground, in order to “cooperate on the points of agreement and set aside the points of disagreement”.
Point of Departure 7: To accept the principle of temporary cooperation between Islamic movements and nationalist movements in the broad sphere and on common ground such as the struggle against colonialism, preaching and the Jewish state, without however having to form alliances. This will require, on the other hand, limited contacts between certain leaders, on a case by case basis, as long as these contacts do not violate the [shari’a] law. Nevertheless, one must not give them allegiance or take them into confidence, bearing in mind that the Islamic movement must be the origin of the initiatives and orientations taken.
Point of Departure 8: To master the art of the possible on a temporary basis without abusing the basic principles, bearing in mind that Allah’s teachings always apply. One must order the suitable and forbid that which is not, always providing a documented opinion. But we should not look for confrontation with our adversaries, at the local or the global scale, which would be disproportionate and could lead to attacks against thedawa or its disciples.
Point of Departure 9: To construct a permanent force of the Islamicdawa and support movements engaged in jihad across the Muslim world, to varying degrees and insofar as possible.
Point of Departure 10: To use diverse and varied surveillance systems, in several places, to gather information and adopt a single effective warning system serving the worldwide Islamic movement. In fact, surveillance, policy decisions and effective communications complement each other.
Point of Departure 11: To adopt the Palestinian cause as part of a worldwide Islamic plan, with the policy plan and by means of jihad, since it acts as the keystone of the renaissance of the Arab world today.
Point of Departure 12: To know how to turn to self-criticism and permanent evaluation of worldwide Islamic policy and its objectives, of its content and its procedures, in order to improve it. This is a duty and a necessity according to the precepts of shari’a.
THE FIRST POINT OF DEPARTURE:
Know the terrain and adopt a scientific methodology for [The Project’s] planning and execution.
a- Elements:Know the influential factors in the world, whether they act as Islamic forces, adverse forces, or neutral forces.
Use the necessary scientific and technical means for planning, organization, execution and follow-up.
b- Procedures:Create observation centers in order to gather and store information for all useful purposes, if need be relying on modern technological methods.
Create centers of study and research and produce studies on the political dimension of the Islamic movement.
c- Suggested missions:Draw up a map of [religious and ideological] doctrines in the world to have a global vision from 100 years ago to our era, and analyze the current situation in light of that configuration, taking account of changes both happening and predicted.
Draw up a map of doctrines of the Muslim world.
Draw up a map of Islamic movements in the Muslim world.
Carry out successive political and scientific studies in varying Islamic areas, those which apply more particularly to current events.
Carry out a scientific study which addresses the history of contemporary Islamic movements, and use it.
THE SECOND POINT OF DEPARTURE
To demonstrate proof of the serious nature of the work.
a- Elements:Clarity of the principal objectives of thedawa in the eyes of all, as well as clarity of the temporary objectives, necessitates exploitation, channeling and orientation of the energies.
Devote sufficient effort to the service of the workers [for Allah] and coordinate their efforts to the sole and same objective.
Devote sufficient time.
Spend money to the extent possible.
b-Procedures:Exploit all the energies of the workers to the service of thedawa, each at his level (the criterion of efficiency, given that each must be devoted to the task to which he’s assigned).
Mobilize the greatest possible number of supporters and officials.
Collect money efficiently, control expenses and invest in the general interest.
c- Suggested missions:Carry out a survey of workers (appropriate men and appropriate location)
Establish schedules with the hours of workers and specialists and use their efforts with good judgment and on time (appropriate effort at the right time).
An engagement with economic institutions adequate to support the cause financially.
THE THIRD POINT OF DEPARTURE
Reconcile international engagement with flexibility at the local level.
a- Elements:To define the guidelines that everyone [worldwide] must follow.
To leave a margin that provides sufficient flexibility at the local level for the issues that do not conflict with the general lines of the global Islamic policy.
b- Procedures:The Movement, at a global level, will define the Islamic domain and issues in a general way which will require the engagement of all according to previously defined priorities.
The local leadership will define local issues that come within their prerogative, according to the principle of flexibility and according to previously defined priorities.
c- Suggested MissionsWorldwide Islamic engagement for a total liberation of Palestine and the creation of an Islamic state is the mission which falls to the global leadership.
To establish a dialogue at a local level with those who work for the cause according to the global political lines of the Movement. It is up to the local leadership to define the shape of that dialogue.
THE FOURTH POINT OF DEPARTURE
To reconcile political engagement with the necessity of avoiding isolation, on the one hand, with permanent education and institutional work on the other.
a- ElementsLiberty to function politically in each country according to local circumstances, without however participating in a process which makes a decision which would be contrary to the texts of Shari’a.
To invite everyone to take part in parliament, municipal councils, labor unions and other institutions of which the membership is chosen by the people in the interest of Islam and of Muslims.
To continue to educate individuals and generations and to guarantee the training of specialists in various areas according to a previously designed plan.
To construct social, economic, scientific and health institutions and penetrate the domain of the social services, in order to be in contact with the people and to serve them by means of Islamic institutions.
b- ProceduresTo study the varied political environments and the probabilities of success in each country.
To plan specialized study missions which will concentrate on useful areas such as communications, the history of Islam, etc.
To conduct feasibility studies concerning various institutions and create them according to priorities established in each country.
c-Suggested MissionsTo conduct studies relating to the experiences of political Islam and to draw lessons from them.
To give an Islamic policy perspective on the pressing questions of the day.
To keep questions of local importance such as issues concerning workers, unions, etc. within an Islamic framework.

THE FIFTH POINT OF DEPARTURE
To dedicate ourselves to the establishment of an Islamic state, in parallel with gradual efforts aimed at gaining control of local power centers through institutional action.

To work within various influential institutions and use them in the service of Islam.

THE SIXTH POINT OF DEPARTURE
To loyally work alongside Islamic groups and institutions in various areas and in agreement on a common ground in order to “cooperate on points of agreement and put aside points of disagreement”.
a- ElementsTo coordinate the Islamic work in a single direction as will permit the laying of the foundations of the growth of Muslim society and dedication to the power of God on Earth.
For each to work according to his capacities in his chosen field and to master it, with loyalty and coordination of effort.
b- ProceduresTo study the true nature of Islamic movements, to evaluate their experiences and draw up plans to initiate collaboration among them.
To avoid creating new Islamic movements in a country which already has one; there will be but one movement, serious and complete.
c- Suggested missionsTo coordinate the efforts of all those working for Islam, in each country, and to establish good contact with them, whether they work in individuals or in groups.
To reduce the differences that exists between workers for Islam and to resolve their conflicts according to shari’a.
THE SEVENTH POINT OF DEPARTURE
To accept the principle of temporary cooperation between Islamic movements and nationalist movements in the broad sphere and on common ground such as the struggle against colonialism, preaching and the Jewish state, without however having to form alliances. This will require, on the other hand, limited contacts between certain leaders, on a case by case basis, as long as these contacts do not violate the [shari’a] law. Nevertheless, one must not give them allegiance or take them into confidence, bearing in mind that the Islamic movement must be the origin of the initiatives and orientations taken.
a-Elements:
To combine all efforts against the supreme forces of evil in accordance with the principle that one must “battle one evil with a lesser evil”.
To limit the collaboration to the leadership or to a limited number of individuals in order to maximize the benefit and minimize the possible drawbacks.
To work from perspective of the objectives previously defined for the dawa.
b-Procedures:
To make a study to evaluate the areas with the object of mutual assistance between Islamic and other movements and draw lessons from it.
To study the areas which allow cooperation, and define the boundaries.
To study the philosophy and plans of other movements.
c- Suggested Missions:
Each country should study the possibility, in the future, of strengthening internal collaboration.
THE EIGHTH POINT OF DEPARTURE
To master the art of the possible on a temporary basis without abusing the basic principles, bearing in mind that Allah’s teachings always apply. One must order the suitable and forbid that which is not, always giving a documented opinion [according to shari’a]. But we should not look for confrontation with our adversaries, at the local or the global scale, which would be disproportionate and could lead to attacks against the dawa or its disciples.
a- Elements:
To evaluate the education of individuals and not to excessively use typical modern education that does not correspond to reality, which is devoid of flexibility and could have grave consequences such as the conflict between individuals for a simple comment or a simple failure.
To give a documented and scientific view, in the form of speeches, communiqués and books, that bears on events important to the Ummah.
To avoid the Movement hurting itself with major confrontations, which could encourage its adversaries to give it a fatal blow.
b-Procedures:
To carry out a study to evaluate the experiences of Islamist movements in order to avoid their fatal errors.
To develop educational methods that are at the same time exemplary, realistic and true to our principles, in order to bestow a flexibility sufficient to permit the facing of reality.
c-Suggested Missions:
To develop initiation programs for the faithful and proceed with sensitivity to the foundation of past experience.
To prepare individuals according to modern educational methods.
THE NINTH POINT OF DEPARTURE
To construct a permanent force of the Islamic dawa and support movements engaged in jihad across the Muslim world, to varying degrees and insofar as possible.
a-Elements:
To protect the dawa with the force necessary to guarantee its security at the local and international levels.
To make contact with all new movements engaged in jihad, everywhere on the planet, and with Muslim minorities, and to create links as needed to establish and support collaboration.
To maintain jihad and awakening throughout the Ummah.
b-Procedures:
To form an autonomous security force to protect the dawa and its disciples locally and worldwide.
To study movements engaged in jihad in the Muslim world, as well as among Muslim minorities, to better understand them.
c-Suggested Missions:
To build bridges between movements engaged in jihad in the Muslim world, and between Muslim minorities, and to support them insofar as possible within a framework of collaboration.
THE TENTH POINT OF DEPARTURE
To use diverse and varied surveillance systems, in several places, to gather information and adopt a single effective warning system serving the worldwide Islamic movement. In fact, surveillance, policy decisions and effective communications complement each other.

To make the policy decisions to collect important and precise information.
To diffuse Islamic policy so that it is largely and efficiently covered by the media.

To create a modern surveillance system by means of advanced technology (possibly created at the research centers mentioned earlier).

To adopt the Palestinian cause as part of a worldwide Islamic plan, with the policy plan and by means of jihad, since it acts as the keystone of the renaissance of the Arab world today.

To provide an Islamic view on all areas, problems and solutions relative to the Palestinian question, based on the precepts of Islam.
To prepare the community of believers for jihad for the liberation of Palestine. [One can lead the Ummah to realize the plans of the Islamic movement above all if victory is ours], if God wills it.
To create a modest nucleus of jihad in Palestine, and to nourish it in order to maintain the flame that will light the road toward the liberation of Palestine, and in order that the Palestinian cause will endure until the moment of liberation.

To conduct a study of the situation of Muslims and the enemy in occupied Palestine.

To conduct studies on the Jews, enemies of Muslims, and on the oppression inflicted by these enemies on our brothers in occupied Palestine, in addition to preaching and publications.
To fight against the sentiment of capitulation among the Ummah, to refuse defeatist solutions, and to show that conciliation with the Jews will undermine our Movement and its history.
To conduct comparative studies on the Crusades and Israel, and [the victory that will be that of Islam].
To create jihadi cells in Palestine, and support them in order that they cover all of occupied Palestine.
To create a link between the moujahadin in Palestine and those throughout the Islamic world.
To nourish a sentiment of rancor with respect to the Jews and refuse all coexistence.
THE TWELFTH POINT OF DEPARTURE
To know how to turn to self-criticism and permanent evaluation of worldwide Islamic policy and its objectives, of its content and its procedures in order to improve it. This is a duty and a necessity according to the precepts of shari’a.

To conduct constructive self-criticism, in order to avoid pitfalls.
To proceed with constant evaluation, on a scientific basis, to permit the further construction of policies.
To improve Islamic policies and to take profit from past experiences must be a clear and essential objective.

To evaluate current practices and profit from past experience.
To ask officials in the various countries to give their views on direction, methods and results.
c-Suggested Missions:
To produce an official document on global Islamic policy.
To make the countries, the officials and the people aware of that policy.
To begin to apply the policy, to evaluate it annually and to improve it if need be.

Children in Syria are subjected to “appalling” torture, imprisonment and abduction, and these atrocities should be better documented, a report by British charity Save the Children says.

Drawing on the testimony of Syrian refugee children, the charity calls on the United Nations to increase its presence on the ground.
It says almost every child it spoke to has seen a family member killed.
The report comes at the start of the UN General Assembly’s annual meeting.
Earlier, UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi said the situation in Syria was “extremely bad and getting worse”.
Speaking after he had briefed the Security Council following his first visit to Syria since taking up the post, Mr Brahimi admitted he did not have a full plan on how to bring peace.
Although Syria is not formally on the agenda at the UN General Assembly’s annual conference, it is expected to dominate discussions.
‘Systematic abuse’
Save the Children has documented numerous cases of abuse against children during Syria’s 18 month conflict, which was sparked by unrest over the arrest and torture of children in the town of Deraa.
The children had written a well-known slogan of the popular uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt on a wall.
Lakhdar Brahimi: “The situation is extremely bad and getting worse”
One 15-year-old told the charity he had cigarettes put out on him when he was imprisoned in what used to be his school.
Another described being given electric shocks and sharing a cell with decomposing bodies, while a third teenager, Wael, said he had seen a six-year-old die after being tortured and starved.
The 16 year-old told the report’s authors: “I watched him die. He only survived for three days and then he simply died.”
“He was terrified all the time. They treated his body as though he was a dog.”
Save the Children’s report described the acts as “consistent, recurring and appalling”.
Cat Carter, a spokeswoman for the charity, said: “The stuff I’ve heard from children is absolutely appalling. I’ve heard of children as young as 10 being tortured. I’ve heard of children, as young as eight, helping to remove dead bodies from rubble, with their own hands.”
The UK-based charity called on the UN to increase its presence on the ground to document violations so that perpetrators can be brought to account.
‘No immediate prospect’
Speaking at the UN headquarters in New York on Monday, Mr Brahimi said: “There is no disagreement anywhere that the situation in Syria is extremely bad and getting worse, that it is a threat to the region and a threat to peace and security in the world.”
He said there was “no prospect for today or tomorrow to move forward”, but added “I think that we will find an opening in the not too distant future”.
Fighting is continuing in Syria’s second city, Aleppo
The BBC’s Barbara Plett at the UN says Mr Brahimi’s mission to forge a political solution seems almost impossible, with the two parties intent on fighting rather than talking, and the Security Council deeply divided.
The UN says more than 20,000 people have been killed since anti-government protests began in Syria in March 2011. Activists put the death toll as high as 30,000.
Violence continued across the country on Monday, with activists saying the government had bombed parts of the second city, Aleppo.
The Local Co-ordination Committees, an opposition activist network, reported that at least 40 people had died in fighting, including 13 in Aleppo.
The group said the victims included three children from one family killed in air strikes in the central district of Maadi.
In addition to the fighting in Aleppo, anti-government activist group the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that a five year-old girl and a man were killed during the bombardment of the southern town of Dael, in Deraa province.
Clashes between government forces and rebels were also reported in the north-eastern and north-western districts of the capital, Damascus.
More than 260,000 Syrians have fled to neighbouring countries, the UN says. There are also thought to be more than 1.2 million internally displaced people, and 2.5 million in need of humanitarian assistance.
As the Syrian conflict grinds on, the mounting death toll has reduced many of the victims to faceless statistics, among them fighters from abroad drawn by a sense of religious duty. Here, BBC Arabic’s Khaled Ezeelarab tells the story of one such jihadist, and the path which took him from Cairo to the front lines against Bashar al-Assad.
Abubakr Moussa’s family is not quite what one would expect of a jihadist. The men are clean shaven, Abubakr’s father smokes and his sister wears the kind of headscarf worn by most Egyptian women.
A graduate from an English school in one of Cairo’s upper-middle-class suburbs, Abubakr did not become particularly religious until he entered university. It was then that he started growing his beard and spending a lot of time at the mosque.
When he graduated he refused to marry the young woman from a rich family chosen by his parents – instead he married a Russian widow from Chechnya whose brother he came to know at the mosque.
The woman already had two children and soon Abubakr was supporting all three, in addition to his new baby girl, Mariam.
‘Fighting for oppressed’
As much as he enjoyed the company of his new family he was nevertheless quite restless, says his 83-year-old father, Ibrahim.
Abubakr marched to the Israeli border in a bid to “liberate Palestine”
“He felt he had an obligation to fight for oppressed Muslims anywhere,” he says.
And so it was that Abubakr flew to Russia hoping to make his way to Chechnya and join Islamist rebels there.
He failed and was sent back by Russian authorities. Shortly afterwards he was arrested by Egyptian police and detained for six months, and by the time he was released his wife had left him.
Abubakr remarried, this time to an Egyptian woman from a conservative religious family, and the couple settled at his parents’ house in the provincial town of Fayoum.
Perhaps not unexpectedly, given his history with the Egyptian authorities, he enthusiastically joined the uprising against Hosni Mubarak last year.
But as the Arab Spring spread to other countries, Abubakr yearned to join the fight of other Muslims against their rulers.
He took part in a convoy to provide Libyan revolutionaries with humanitarian assistance. It is not clear if he joined in the actual fighting, and his parents say they do not know.
He also took part in a march towards the Israeli border with Egypt, in what was known at the time as the Third Intifada – a failed attempt by some Arab activists to cross into Israel and start the “liberation of Palestine”.
Syria calling
Then came Syria. Abubakr’s family insists he was not part of an organised campaign to send Islamist fighters to a holy war against Bashar al-Assad.
Abubakr fought across Syria for the FSA
“He acted on his own, it was a personal initiative,” says his father.
Perhaps it was, but one of the last postings Abubakr put on his Facebook page before travelling to Syria, was an advertisement for a “relief convoy” organised by an ultra-orthodox Islamic group with contacts in Egypt and Lebanon.
Whether this relief convoy was a front for a fighters’ convoy is not clear, but in any case Abubakr made his way in March to Lebanon and from there to Syria where he joined the rebel Free Syrian Army (FSA).
A comrade who met Abubakr in those first days of his Syrian venture told me that the Egyptian fighter quickly became known for his deep religious knowledge.
“He always led us in prayer,” he said. “He soon became famous among all the neighbouring battalions [of the FSA] and they would ask him to join them.”
Abubakr seems to have joined battles almost everywhere in Syria; he fought in Homs, al-Qasir, Damascus and Idlib.
It was from this last town that he wrote on Facebook on 31 August, telling his friends: “I am happy to inform you, brothers, that 17 thugs have been killed and 40 others injured in a unique operation carried out by your Mujahideen brothers.”
It was his last posting. The following day he was killed, aged 35, in an attack by Syrian government forces.
His family is in grief but say they are not regretful.
“He has been seeking martyrdom for many years,” says his father, “now God has made him achieve his goal.”
Tomorrow, Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will take the stage at the United Nations General Assembly.
As always, he will smile his evil smile as he denies the Holocaust, condemns America, threatens Israel and lies about his nuclear weapons program.
He smiles because he knows that he’s getting away with it.
Enough is enough. The time has come to wipe that smile off this monster’s face.
Diplomacy hasn’t stopped him. Sanctions haven’t stopped him. The United States must draw him a bright red line. We must make clear to the Iranian regime that the U.S. will never permit Iran to acquire a nuclear weapons capability.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has repeatedly stressed the importance of placing such a red line before Iran. And both houses of Congress have now passed resolutions endorsing the clear red line of preventing Iran from obtaining a “nuclear weapons capability.”
But for these resolutions to have their maximum impact, the Obama Administration must follow Congress’ lead and adopt this policy.

MI5 let the ‘preacher of hate’ carry on as long as he didn’t target Britain – seeing his mosque as a useful source of intelligence
Some may doubt the constitutional propriety of the Queen’s reported intervention in the Hamza case, but it is difficult to fault her question: why was the “preacher of hate” allowed to run free for so long? Her Majesty’s questioning was shared by Muslims who had once used the Finsbury Park mosque, and felt terrorised when Hamza and his henchmen seized control of it, turning it into a place of hate.
Some will claim the long-running Hamza saga shows the extent to which human rights have got so out of hand and that they need to be “rebalanced”, that is, cut. Some will claim the then Labour government was soft on Hamza because of a multicultural-inspired fear of upsetting Muslims – a claim undermined by the fact that the same Labour government took part in the widely opposed Iraq invasion, and allegedly colluded in the torture of Muslim terrorism suspects held by the Americans.
But when, as now seems as certain as anything in the saga dating back to the late 1990s, he is extradited to the US, Hamza will take some secrets with him. How could he turn a north London mosque into a place to foment violent jihad under the noses of the security services?
The police had their suspicions – local Muslims were passing information about events that struck them as extremist, and even the head of state was puzzled. At least part of the reason for not stopping him was that those who operate on Her Majesty’s secret service thought he was a harmless buffoon who was also a useful source of information on other extremists. During Hamza’s 2005-06 trial in the UK, it emerged that over a three-year period, the cleric had repeatedly met MI5 and special branch. A close associate of Hamza told the Guardian the cleric was an “unwitting informant” for MI5, passing on information against jihadists whose views he considered more extreme than his.
During his UK trial, Hamza said that in his many meetings with counter-terrorism officials he believed a deal operated whereby his activities would be tolerated as long as they were targeting only foreign soil. Hamza told the Old Bailey that during one meeting with officials, he asked if his fiery sermons were a problem and was told: “You have freedom of speech. You don’t have anything to worry about as long as we don’t see blood on the streets.”
Credence for Hamza’s claim comes from an unlikely source. Reda Hassaine was a former MI5 operative who infiltrated the mosque. He says Hamza was allowed to operate by the security services as long as he did not threaten Britain’s national security. A senior French intelligence chief told the Guardian in 2006 that for years, Britain had failed to take action against him despite being given evidence that he had extensive involvement in terrorism, including recruiting men for terrorist training camps in Afghanistan.
Former mosque worshippers say they told police about Hamza’s activities, including a meeting in the mosque to pledge allegiance to Osama bin Laden. Mufti Abdul Barkatulla, a former trustee of the mosque, says police were repeatedly asked to curb Hamza. He says that in 2000, trustees asked police to act after Hamza supporters placed a poster in the mosque advertising a meeting where loyalty could be pledged to Osama bin Laden. Barkatulla says police did nothing. “There was enough evidence for the police to do something against Hamza for years before 2003.”
It appears that MI5 saw the mosque as a “honeypot”, and were prepared to let Hamza operate and monitor which extremists came, and also collect Hamza’s information. The mosque attracted people from north Africa, especially Algerians, who came to London after a bitter civil war in their homeland. At the time, MI5 thought that the Islamist terrorist threat to Britain was more likely posed by people from north Africa, not British-born extremists. Furthermore as Hamza radicalised youngsters, MI5’s knowledge of the extremist threat was poor. Then, its expertise was in the threat posed by the Soviets and from Irish republican terrorism.
In this void, Hamza was deemed to be sufficiently useful to be allowed to operate.

Jordan’s Muslim Brotherhood has given King Abdullah II notice that he has until October to bow to their demand to transform the Hashemite Kingdom into a constitutional monarchy or face Arab Spring street pressure for his abdication. debkafile’s Middle East sources report that Israeli and Saudi intelligence watchers are becoming increasingly concerned about the approaching climax of the conflict in Amman between Islamists and the throne .
For Israel, an upheaval in Jordan bodes the tightening of the Islamist noose around its borders – Egypt and Libya to the south and Syria to the north, with unpredictable consequences with regard to Jordan’s Palestinian population. Saudi Arabia, already threatened by Iranian aggression, fears the oil kingdom may be next in line if its northern neighbor is crushed under the marching feet of the “Arab Spring.” The oil kingdom’s royal rulers are reported to have belatedly woken up to the peril and are in a panic. They realize that their preoccupation with helping Syrian rebels overthrow Bashar Assad misdirected their attention from the enemies lurking at their own door. Thousands of articles in the Arab press in the past year have predicted that after the Muslim Brotherhood seizes power in Damascus, Amman would be next in its sights followed by Riyadh. The latest DEBKA-Net-Weekly of Sept. 21 analyzed the plight closing in on the Jordanian monarch and outlined three of his options:
1. He could bow to the main Muslim Brotherhood’s demand by submitting to the kingdom’s transition to a constitutional monarchy and the transfer of executive power to an MB-led government by means of the electoral reforms for which the Brothers have been pushing for years. In Jordan as in Egypt, the Brothers hope for a two-third majority in a free election. 2. He could stand up to the Brotherhood’s demands and order his security, intelligence and military forces to crack down on the opposition. This course carries the risk of plunging Jordan into the carnage of civil war among the diverse segments of the population. The biggest dangers come from the Bedouin tribes, whose traditional allegiance to the Hashemite throne has weakened in recent years, and the Palestinians who form 60 percent of the population.
3. He could seek to negotiate a compromise through various brokers. Our sources report that several attempts at mediation have been ventured of late, but got nowhere because the Muslim Brotherhood sent its most radical leaders to the table and they left very little margin for compromise. According to sources at the royal court, Abdullah will very soon meet with MB leaders for a personal appeal for calm after years of heated debate. Most observers believe that he has left it too late and by now the Muslim Brotherhood has got the bit between its teeth. Indeed, according to an internal memorandum leaked to the Al-Hayat newspaper, the MB has already set a date for mass demonstrations against the King to start on Oct. 10 and ordered its members to go to work at once to mobilize at least 50,000 demonstrators for daily protests against the king and the royal family until he bows to their will.
The memorandum states: “Every member must be dedicated to communicate with his relatives, close friends, acquaintances, fellow employees and various Islamic groups and patriots…” It calls for the formation of “hotbeds to… focus on the participation of groups affiliated with universities, schools and women’s organizations.” Protesters are also advised on tactics for overcoming a security crackdown. Jordan’s Muslim Brotherhood has therefore moved forward from opposition propaganda, debating and political pressure to activism against the throne. Both Jordanian camps are anxiously watching to see which way the wind blows in the White House.

On the other, Obama regards the Muslim Brotherhood as the linchpin of his external policy of outreach to the Muslim world.
